Loading the Truck
When you began the packing process, you should have taken the time to organize the packed boxes in a manner to ensure efficient loading onto the truck. If you have not done this, don't worry but take the time to do this before you begin loading the truck.

If you have several people helping you move, have one or two people in the truck organizing and safely securing the items. The remainder of your helpers should focus on carrying out the boxes and furniture.

Communicate to your friends/family members and anyone else who agreed to help you move what should go on first and what should go on last. When you're loading the items, remember this: "first one on, last one off." If there is anything you need immediate access to when the truck arrives at your new place, load it on the truck last.

The heavy appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc.) should be loaded first and secured on the floor against the front wall of the trailer. Continue loading heavier items toward the front of the trailer and on the floor. The space above these items should be used for your lighter items. Mattresses and mirrors should be placed along the walls of the truck and tied securely.

Take your time packing the truck; a tightly packed load is your best guarantee that your belongings will come through the move unscathed.
