How Does MovingPlace.com Provide the Best Interstate Moving Estimates?

Movingplace blends the convenience of full service moving with the value of a rental truck. You load, we drive, you save. Why risk driving a rented moving truck across the country or pay the high price of full-service moving? Take control of your move and peace of mind in the process. Movingplace LLC, (License #MC807665) will arrange for a moving truck to come to your home. In most service locations, that moving van will be equipped with a loading ramp (to easily access the moving truck), a bulkhead wall (to safely separate your goods from any others on the truck), and a dolly. You Load. We Drive to your new home where you unload. There are options to have up to 3 days for loading and 3 days for unloading. Our moving truck service is simple and, best of all, inexpensive when compared to full service moving!

Question to MovingPlace

from Bora J. in CA - Saturday, May 28, 2016

Hello, This is Bora Jin. I would like to ship my car, furniture and household belongings from 94121 to 77802. 1)Do you carry household items from my place to truck, and vice versa? 2)Do you use separate truck for a car and furnitures? Then, is it possible to ship my car and furniture different date? Thanks

MovingPlace Response

Hi Bora Jin, We can provide transportation for your car and your furniture at separate times and still give you great pricing. We are a transport-only company and do not provide loading and unloading. A lot of our customers hire local movers to load and unload their furniture. We can help you set up the timing of your long distance moving truck rental to coincide with your loaders and unloaders. Thanks! Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from J A. in FL - Saturday, May 28, 2016

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer, queen size bed, love seat, dining set and my clothes to be transported from Florida to Ohio. Can you tell me the most economic way to to do this please?

MovingPlace Response

Hi J, The most economical way to move your SUV and furniture would be to split the shipment in two. It will be much cheaper to put your SUV on an auto transporter and then put your household goods onto one of the moving trucks that we provide. We can arrange to have your car and furniture picked up and delivered at approximately the same time, so it will be convenient and inexpensive! Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Abdulrahman A. in MA - Thursday, May 26, 2016

I am moving from cambridge MA to irvine CA. I have a 3 bedroom house and my 2013 RAM. I would know how much would it take and how much is the estimate price.

MovingPlace Response

Depending on how large your 3 bedroom house is (and how heavily furnished) will determine whether or not we should move your car and furniture on the same moving truck or whether we should put the furniture on the moving truck and the car on an auto transport. Please call our office at 800-876-6839 and we can discuss options. Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Chris B. in PA - Sunday, May 22, 2016

What is the total cost of having your company provide us a moving truck rental from our apartment in Bethel Park PA to our new apartment in Mooresville NC on June 21, 2016?

MovingPlace Response

Hi Chris, We actually provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We are not a moving truck rental company in the traditional sense. We are a self-service mover. We bring the moving truck out to your house an drop it off. You have up to 3 business days to load it (we can do this over a weekend at no additional charge). We transport it to your new home.. where you unload it. You Load, We Haul, Save Big! Thanks! Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Rakesh M. in IL - Friday, May 20, 2016

Hi, I need to move a car (Mustang 2012), a queen bed, a TV, two small tables and some small boxes from Bloomington IL (61704) to Hartford CT (06183). I am thinking of moving all these through same transport. Can you please suggest what would be the better way?

MovingPlace Response

Hi Rakesh, If you want to move your car and furniture on the same moving truck, you have to rent the entire moving van to make it work. With smaller shipments like yours, we recommend using our moving truck for the furniture and household items, and then letting us set up an auto transporter to haul your car. We can have them pick up and drop off at approximately the same time, so it will not be any less convenient, but it will be a lot less expensive. Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Christian F. in CA - Friday, May 20, 2016

How long will it take to move a bedroom, a desk, and books from Woodland, CA 95695 to Columbus, Ohio 43221 in mid-July?

MovingPlace Response

Hi Christian, We generally account for a transit time of about 500 miles per day. This would have your shipment arriving in Ohio in about 5 days. When you actually schedule the moving truck with Movingplace, we will give you the exact date of delivery. Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from mj r. in FL - Thursday, May 12, 2016

I'm moving 2 10x10 storages of household items from Orlando, FL to Little Rock, Ar. Need a quote please for June 2016

MovingPlace Response

Hi MJ, Thank you for the additional information about your cross country move, I see that you also put that info in the comments section when you filled out the quote form. One of our relocation specialists will be reaching out to you via email with some pricing for your long distance move. We need to know if both of those storage pods are full or just partially full so that we quote you the right amount of space to rent on the moving van. Thanks, Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Kelly B. in NY - Thursday, May 12, 2016

I would like a quote to move my furniture and 2012 chevy cruze car from NY to Texas. I am not moving any appliances. I have a few furniture pieces - desk, bookcases stuff like that. No living room furniture or dining table. You can reach me at *******(redacted for security)@aol.com Thank you, Ms. Kelly B--------

MovingPlace Response

Hi Kelly, The best way (cheapest) to move your car and furniture is going to be to put your car on an auto transporter and you household items on a moving truck. If you put the furniture and car on the same moving van, you have to rent an entire 53ft tractor trailer and that will not make financial sense for your move. I see that you filled out our moving quote request form. One of our relocation specialists will be reaching out to help you with some rates. Thanks! Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Daniel P. in CA - Tuesday, May 03, 2016

Hi, I'm looking to move the first weekend of June. I have a chrysler 300 car and a 2 BR apartment. One king and queen bed. One small dresser. Couch with chase, loveseat. Small dining room table, L shaped desk and cabinet. Then some boxes/tubs on top of that. 1 person apartment. I'll be moving from 95008 bay area to 48183 South of Detroit. I'm currently looking at renting a truck and towing my car, but if it around the same price i'd rather just ship and fly home, or ship my stuff and drive just the car. What do you suggest?

MovingPlace Response

Hi Daniel, We should definitely get prices for moving your car and furniture. I would suggest that you ship the furniture on a moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. We can arrange for those to be picked up and delivered at about the same time. That will be the most cost efficient way to to move your stuff. I have heard that rental trucks out of California are ridiculously expensive. We might be able to provide you with a good alternative to that rental truck. Movingplace

Question to MovingPlace

from Alex W. in IN - Tuesday, May 03, 2016

Hi, I am relocating a business with about 20,000 lbs of machining equipment from Indiana to Colorado. Is this something that's allowed with your service, or is it only for residential moving?

MovingPlace Response

Hi Alex, We can certainly handle business and commercial moves. We will need more information (will there be a loading dock, are there specific transit times, will you need exclusive use of a 28ft moving truck or a 53ft moving van). If you will please call our office at 800-876-6839, one of our relocation specialists will be happy to assist you. Movingplace
