Hello Ebony,We have an extensive network of moving trucks for cross country moving. We service almost every point in the “lower 48 states”. We will have excellent rates for most moves heading into the Midwest, including yours!

Hi Johnny,We can certainly help you with your cross country move. We will email some pricing to you for what you have listed (and some larger and smaller sizes – just in case).

Hi Barbara,We can certainly help with your cross country move. We can service your move any day, Monday through Friday, so you can pick which days that you want to load! It is a bit early for us to give exact pricing for July 2018, but we can get you current pricing and then revisit pricing as we get closer to your actual moving date.

Hi Susan,We are not a local mover. We do have some options for moving longer distances in-state, but we really start becoming cost effective for longer distance, state to state moves.

Hi Yueyue,For a cross country move of that distance, it should take about 5 days to deliver. When you set up your loading date, we can help you with the eta at delivery. We see that you filled out our quote request form and will be emailing rates to move your car and household goods. Thanks!

That should be possible if you load in the next couple of days. We need to know where you are moving from to nail that down.

Hi Debbie, We have cross country moving service to the “lower 48”, but do not have service to Alaska at this time.

Hi Marlene,Yes, we provide cross country moving to just about any location in the United States.

Hello Hab,We can provide cross country moving to just about every location in the lower 48. Unfortunately we do not provide pricing on the forum as prices for moving fluctuate seasonally. We can certainly help you with great pricing for moving your car and furniture across the country. Please fill out our quote form or give us a call at 800-876-6839 for an immediate quote.

It will take approximately 6 days transit for a long distance move from Ohio to Washington State.

Hi Mark,We do not drive or haul other peoples’ trucks. We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport for consumer moves, but all of the transportation is done on the trucks that we provide. For both liability and logistics reasons, we don’t provide driver for others’ trucks.

Hi Tania,We are probably a good option for your cross country move. We can bring a truck to Grand Junction for you to load and then transport everything to South Carolina for you to unload. We can get you a small space on one of our trucks so you only pay for the part you order, not the whole moving van.

Hi Beth,For cross country moving, we only have the driver availability to do one pick up and one drop off. So, you would need to have everything in one location, or, we can leave the truck for a couple of days so that you can shuttle the goods to the moving van from a secondary location.

Hi Roshelle, For cross country moving, the best option is for us to ship your cars on an auto transporter and your furniture on a long-distance moving truck. We would arrange to have the moving van brought out for a couple of days for you to load up and, during that time, have your cars picked up by the auto transporter. That way, everything will move at basically the same time. This will be the most cost-effective way to handle your move.

Hi Himani,We can help you with your move across the county. I would recommend utilizing one of our shared moving trucks for your household goods and shipping your cars on an auto transporter. Please fill out the quote form at the top of this page and put the make and model of the cars in the comments section along with the words “piggyback moving” and we will get pricing for everything emailed to you as quickly as possible. Thanks!

Yes we do have moving truck services to South Dakota.

Hi Lidia,We specialize in cross country moving. When moving from state to state, we have a couple of different options when it comes to shipping your car and furniture. Since you have a whole 3 bedroom house, we should probably price out moving everything on the same moving van. We can also get rates to ship the furniture on a moving van and ship the car on a cross country auto transporter. I see that you have already filled out our quote request form, so we will send you rates both ways. Thanks!

Hi Sharon,Yes we can put your furniture onto one of the 28ft shared moving trucks and put the car on an auto transporter. That is the best way (meaning the least expensive) to move your car and furniture cross-country. We can arrange for the car and furniture to be picked up around the same time and delivered around the same time to make it as convenient as possible for your schedule.

Hi Sharon,We can certainly help you with your move. We don’t put pricing up on the forum as pricing changes with the seasons. If you fill out our quote request form at the top of this page, we will email pricing for your move. Please make sure to put the make and model of the car in the comments section so we know how to price the vehicle. We never share your data. Thanks!

Hi Peter,For a cross country move that only has a small amount of furniture like that, we would suggest getting a small space on one of our moving trucks for the household items and then shipping your car on one of our big auto-transport trucks. If you give us a call at 800-876-6839 or fill out the quote form on our web page, we will put together some great pricing for your move.

Yes, we can ship motorcycles and quads along with your household furniture and boxes. This can all go on the same moving truck.

Hi Rhonda,For a cross country move like that, you can expect 6 days to transport your goods on the moving truck.

Hi Tekla,Yes, we do service Apache. I might add that our cross country moving prices to Michigan are outstanding, especially out of that area. Please fill out our quote form or call us at 800-876-6839 and we will put together some pricing for your move.

Hi James, We do not handle moves to Canada at this time. We handle cross country moves in the “lower 48 states”.

Hi Michael,For a cross country move like that, you can count on 6 or 7 business days of transit. We can work with you on scheduling to get two free weekends in there as well to extend the delivery without costing you any extra money. In the event that you need more time, we have very competitive daily and monthly storage rates. Those vary depending on where and when you need the storage, so it would be best to give us a call at 800-876-6839 to nail down that pricing. Thanks!

Hi Lesley,We do not do in-home estimates. Our service is cross country, self service moving. So you are renting space on a moving truck. We can work with you on the phone to give you a good idea of how much space you will need on the moving van, but it is up to you to make the final determination of how much space to order. Some folks order extra space so that they know they have extra room, others order as little as possible to save money. Either way, we are a very economical way to move.

Hi ML,Yes, we can certainly help you. The moving vans that we use are 8.5ft wide, 9ft tall and either 28ft or 53ft long (depending on need). We break the trucks down into smaller compartments using movable walls, so you can order as little as 4 feet of space on the truck all the way up to a 53ft tractor trailer. For Cross Country, Long Distance moving, it is gives you the option to move even the largest household.

Hi Patrick,For cross country moves, we can only make one pick up and one delivery. Our system is not set up in a way that will allow us to make multiple stops for one order.

Hi MJ,Thank you for the additional information about your cross country move, I see that you also put that info in the comments section when you filled out the quote form. One of our relocation specialists will be reaching out to you via email with some pricing for your long distance move. We need to know if both of those storage pods are full or just partially full so that we quote you the right amount of space to rent on the moving van. Thanks,

Hi Christian,We generally account for a transit time of about 500 miles per day. This would have your shipment arriving in Ohio in about 5 days. When you actually schedule the moving truck with , we will give you the exact date of delivery.

Hi Terry,We do have cross-country moving liftgate service available on some of our full 53ft moving vans and can certainly help you with shipping a truckload of tanning beds. Please give our office a call at 800-876-6839 and ask to speak with one of our commercial move specialists. We will be able to provide excellent transportation services at a fraction of what it would cost to go through a full service moving company.

Hi Kathryn,Yes, we provide service in most of Montana. There are a few areas in the northernmost part of the state where we do not, but, for most of the larger towns, we do.

Hi Sandy,Yes we service even the longest cross country moves. We would be happy to help you with your move from Washington to New York.

Hi Steve,If you were moving out of state, we would be a great option for you. We are licensed through the Dept of Transportation to provide interstate service. We cannot, however, provide services that are within the same state.

Hi Sabina,Yes, you can move plants on the truck with your furniture, however, we cannot assume liability if they die in transit. Also, as you mentioned, we will need you to get the proper paperwork ready for agricultural inspection stations in various states.

Hi Stella,You can usually count on a transit of approximately 500 miles for every business day that your shipment is in transit. So, for your move to Utah, your shipment should arrive in approximately 7 days. This can vary a little based on the time of month, so please call our office and we can help you nail down a realistic delivery date.

HI Ashley,Our moving trucks have a set schedule, so we can pick which dates you want to load AND which dates you want to unload. We can also track the moving vans in route so that we can see that they are arriving on time. Our system will send you automated updates throughout your move.

Hi Karen,You can plan on the moving van traveling across the country in approximately 6 days. We can actually tell you exactly which day the truck will arrive. Please give us a call as we need to factor in a few variables to give you the exact date of arrival. Thanks!

Hi Steph,That is exactly what we do! We bring the moving truck out to your home. You load it. We transport it to the destination where you unload it. We charge based on the amount of space that you use on the truck. Please fill out our quote form and one of our reps will email pricing to you and help answer any questions via email.

We service the entire United States, however, we do not currently have service to Canada at this time.

Hi Jean,It generally takes about 4 business days to get from NJ to TX. There are some variables that we would need to take in account (like how much space you will need on the moving truck and when you are moving), but it should not make more than a couple of days’ difference. When you book your order, we will work with you to deliver on the day that you want your shipment. Please call our office for more details at 800-876-6839.MovingPlace

Hi Steve,We actually would need to put the boat inside the moving truck, so if it is a small boat, yes. However, if it is a large boat that will not fit inside a moving truck that is 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall, we cannot move it. .com

Yes. We have moving truck service available in almost every city in the “Lower 48”.

Absolutely,We service almost the entire “Lower 48 States”. Moving from Sherwood, AR to Fort Worth, TX will probably be very economical when using our services.

Hi Doris,We recommend have some recommendations for loading and unloading. It would be best to call our office so that they can get the exact locations where you will need the service in order to properly price it. We can handle both large and small moves and have service capabilities nationwide. We are licensed and bonded and you do not need to be concerned about the moving truck drop off and pick up. We will arrange all of that with you and you will have a single point of contact here if you need any assistance.

Hi Sean,Yes, we can certainly accommodate dropping off a moving truck for your long distance move for one day. With a fully-packed storage unit of that size, I would suggest ordering a 53ft moving van so that don’t run out of space. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 for the moving van pricing. When ordering the larger trucks, we can also provide you with furniture blankets, tie down straps, and a dolly. Thanks!

Hi Cindy,The good rule of thumb for transit time is 500 miles per day. There can be other mitigating circumstances, but our relocation specialist can work with you to make sure that the transit time for your moving truck works with your schedule.

Hi Joanna,Yes, we can help you as long as the move is going from one state to another. We provide state to state transportation. If you are moving within the same state, we might be able to help you, but that service has limited coverage. The best way to quickly check our availability is to give us a call at 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Michelle,We can certainly help you with this. We have customers every day whose needs change and need us to be flexible on things like timing and delivery addresses. If we have 72 hours notice, we can generally get you a moving truck for a relocation anywhere in the country. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 as soon as you get into the country and we will get to work on getting you the best pricing and service for your move. Thanks!MovingpPlace Web Team

Hi Catherine,Your question has been passed along to one of our relocation specialists who will contact you via email with answers to all of your questions. Thank you!Moving Place Web Team

Hi Tariq,We don’t put pricing up on the forum, but I have passed along this question to one of our relocation specialists who will reach out with pricing for your cross country move.Moving Place Web Team

Hi Cindy,It will take approximately 3 days for us to move your furniture from Florida to Illinois.Best regards,

Hi Terry,There are bulkhead walls that we can move inside the moving van to give you any sized private compartment that you may need. You are only charged for the space that you order on the moving van, not the whole moving truck. Web Team

Hi Kellee,We handle cross country moves to almost every location and specialize in handling the “hard to service” locations. We can help you with this move. I saw the quote request that you put in on the website and just emailed you some pricing for your move.

Brian,Our smallest shipment size is 4ft of space on the truck (4ft long, 8ft wide, and 9ft tall). Select the smallest size on the quote form at the top of this page and we will email you some very competitive quotes for this small move.

Hello Faye,I saw that you had filled out our quote request form. I have emailed a quote to you for a moving truck and for moving your car. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can help in any way. Thanks,

We provide moving truck service to all points in the 48 contiguous United States. We do not provide service to Alaska and Hawaii at this time.

Hi Deborah,The average transit time on the moving trucks is 500 miles per day. However, we have a lot of options and can often give you some free storage at destination. When you are requesting a moving quote or setting up your order, make sure you let us know your ideal transit situation and we will do everything we can to deliver on the exact day that you want your shipment.

The moving trucks generally travel 500 miles per day. Smaller shipments sometimes take a bit longer to arrive because we will have to make some stops along the way. Our relocation specialists will be happy to help you in planning your moving dates.

Hi Millie,Our services are specialized for Less-than-Truckload “LTL” shipments. We can take one room of furniture or the whole house! Please feel free to call us at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists will give you several different options for shipping your goods across country.

Yes Martha,We service nearly all points in the “lower 48”. If you fill out our moving quote form at the top of this page, we will quickly email pricing for a moving truck from Colorado to Washington. Thanks!MovingPlace

If you have a small move going cross-country, there is no better service than the you load- we drive services offered by . Most people can handle loading and unloading their move, but don’t want to drive a rental truck across country. Fill our our quote form on the right hand side of this page and see how inexpensive this moving option is.

The drivers generally travel around 550 miles per day. There will be some variance to that if you are sharing your moving truck with another customer (because the other customer may need to load or unload between your pickup and delivery). Rest assured, everyone gets a private compartment on the moving van and your household goods are not intermingled with anyone else’s. And yes, you can put your car inside the moving van with any shipment.

Yes we do provide You Pack, We Drive moving to international locations. Please fill out the quote form at the top of this website and put “international move” in the comments section

The long distance moving trucks generally travel 500 miles per day. So it would take approximately 6 days for the truck to arrive in California. If you are a piggyback shipment (a small shipment added to a moving van that is already headed that way) it may take a couple of extra days to account for stops along the route.

Andrew,We get a lot of questions about how long it will take to move cross country. There are two factors that effect the answer to that question. First, we generally travel 500 miles per day. So if you are moving 2500 miles, it will take 5 days for your shipment to be transported. Second, unless you are taking the entire moving truck, we might need to make a stop for a pickup or delivery in transit. That could cause your moving van to be delayed one extra day. For exact timing questions, please feel free to call us at 904-849-3882 and one of our relocation specialists will “dial in” the transit for your move.

The transit time for a moving van is usually 500 miles per day. The more space that you are taking up on the moving truck, the faster your shipment will arrive. Remember, if you only have a small shipment that is moving, they will have more than one customer on the moving truck and may have to make pickups and deliveries in transit.

Long Distance Moving Truck Questions

Hi Dee,We don’t put the rates for our long distance moving trucks on the forum because they change with seasonality, fuel prices, etc. Please fill out our quote form or give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we will get a price for you in about 5 minutes. Thanks!

Hi Josh,We don’t put pricing on the forum because the pricing fluctuates with the time of year and sizes of shipments. I see you filled out a quote form, so we will email current pricing to you.Transit on the long distance moving from CA to OR is 2-3 days. We can get on the phone with you and figure out exactly when you would need to load to meet your delivery date needs. Yes, all of our long distance trucks are prepared for snowy and winter weather.

Hi Lynn,We can certainly get a moving truck for you for this long distance move. If you will fill out the quote form at the top of this page, we will quickly email and text you rates for your move.

Hi Sharon,The smallest truck that we use is 28 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. So narrow lanes with limited access can be a problem. I would suggest calling our office and giving us the exact address, we can look it up and see if access is too restricted for us to bring a moving truck to your home.

Hi Irene,We provide door to door transport with moving trucks only. We do not have services to move other peoples’ 40 foot containers. Sorry!

Hi Joe,We are a long distance moving truck provider. We can move you state to state and we have some storage options when moving state to state, but we do not have any local storage options available at this time.

Hi Gary,We have 28 and 53ft trucks available, however, we also break those down into smaller compartments so we can handle just about any sized shipment. Storage is available. Costs vary depending on location and length of time needed. Please call our office at 800-876-6839 and we can work out some options for you.

Hi Karen, only handles long distance moves at this time.

Hi Sydney,Our trucks are the big tractor-trailer type, so towing a car behind them is not an option. We can either load the car inside the moving van with the furniture (very expensive), or we can put the car on an auto transport truck and the furniture on a moving van (much cheaper). As for the size of the shipment, with the stuff you have listed above, we would quote about 6 feet of space on the truck. The trucks are 8.5 feet wide and 9 feet tall inside (with 6 feet being the length and being the variable). If you need more space on moving day, we will give you the price per foot and it is available for you to purchase extra space if you need it.

Hi Jaylee,We do not currently have service to Alaska.

Hi Maryam,We can certainly help you with a moving truck and driver for your household move. You do the loading and unloading. We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. For the car shipment, we will put those on an auto transporter truck (the big tractor trailers that haul 8 or 9 cars at a time). That will be the least expensive and most convenient way to move.

Hi TL. only handles long distance moves (state to state and cross country). If you need to do a local move or moving truck, we would refer you to a local mover in your area.

Hi Jennifer,It will take approximately 4 days for the transit from San Antonio to Chicago.

Hi Patrice,We are a self-service mover. So we provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We bring the truck to your home and leave it for up to 3 business days for you to load. Once it is loaded it is transported to the destination where you have up to 3 business days to unload it. You are charged based on the amount of space that you use on the moving truck. We can get a truck for you on very short notice (usually 48 hours) in just about any location in the US. Our prices are excellent. Please call us at 800-876-6839 or fill out the quote form on this page and we will get an excellent moving quote for you.

Hi Deb,We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We do not have driving services for Uhaul trucks. There are no companies that offer “driver only” services as it would be impossible to insure a driver in someone else’s rental truck. You may be surprised when you check our prices. Because we can share moving trucks, our prices are often lower than rental trucks pricing when you add in fuel, tolls, etc.

Hi Chris,We actually provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We are not a moving truck rental company in the traditional sense. We are a self-service mover. We bring the moving truck out to your house an drop it off. You have up to 3 business days to load it (we can do this over a weekend at no additional charge). We transport it to your new home.. where you unload it. You Load, We Haul, Save Big!Thanks!

Hi Bora Jin,We can provide transportation for your car and your furniture at separate times and still give you great pricing. We are a transport-only company and do not provide loading and unloading. A lot of our customers hire local movers to load and unload their furniture. We can help you set up the timing of your long distance moving truck rental to coincide with your loaders and unloaders. Thanks!

Hi Richard,We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. Realistically, our service starts getting competitive in the market when you are moving 250 miles or more.. For local moves, or short distance moves like the one that you are making, you are much better off renting a Uhaul.

Hi Anthony,We do not provide drivers for rental trucks from other companies. We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport as part of our services. Many times, we will be less expensive than renting a truck and driving it yourself.

Hi Dan,We can do a same day drop off and pick up. There are fees associated with that in some of our busier markets, so make sure that you ask about that when you are booking your move. We like to have at least a week in advance to schedule your long distance move. We can help you on shorter notice, but to insure service, a week is recommended.

Hi Amber,We can help you with your move from Oregon to South Dakota, however, we cannot have any riders in the commercial trucks that we use for cross country moving.

HI Marissa,Yes, we can move your stuff in and out of storage units. However, we are a self-service mover, so you would need to provide the loading and unloading of the goods. Most facilities will have some sort of mover or moving labor that will be happy to come and load everything for you.

We provide self-service moving, meaning we arrange for a moving truck to be brought to your home, you load it, it is then transported to the destination where you unload it. We do not have driver-only services. I don’t think there is a company that provides that type of service simply because it would be impossible to insure things.

Hello Marilyn,Our moving truck services would be great for your move. We will bring the truck out to your home, you load it (or have someone load it for you), we will transport it to your destination where you will unload (or have someone unload it for you). Our service should be very economical. We received your quote request and one of our relocation specialists will be contacting you shortly.

Hi Janice, actually provides the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door service. We can bring the truck right to your home for you to load and unload. We are a cross between full service moving and truck rental…

Hi Nicole,We can certainly help you with that. We actually provide the moving truck, driver, fuel, and door to door transport. We saw that you filled out the quote request at the top of the page and are emailing a quote for your move right now. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can help in any way. Web Team

On the you load they drive moving truck rentals, you can load your car a couple of ways. Most of the moving trucks have loading ramps that are designed for loading and unloading automobiles. If the truck does not have the loading ramps for cars, you can call a rollback wrecker to come and put the car on the moving truck for you. They usually are very reasonably priced for that service. Check with your dispatcher to see if they have car loading ramps on the moving truck.

For self-service moving, you can have anywhere from 4 hours up to 2 days to load the moving truck. The amount of time that you get depends on how much space you order on the moving van. The more space you order, the more time you have to load and unload the moving truck.

Gloria,If you fill out the moving quote form to the right, we will email you pricing for moving truck rentals for your move. We actually provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, furniture blankets, loading ramps, tie-downs, etc… often for prices that are cheaper than renting a moving truck! Each of the moving trucks that we use have moveable walls inside them. We can give you the appropriate amount of space (large or small) for almost any shipment.

David,When we talk about renting space on a moving truck, we are actually selling you extra space on moving vans at a discount. So we are providing the truck, fuel, driver, and door-to-door transport. All you need to do is load and unload. If you fill out one of our quote request forms at the top of this page, one of our relocation specialists will quickly provide you with a written/emailed estimate. Thanks!

Absolutely! We provide moving trucks with drivers on a nationwide basis. We bring the truck out to your home. You load it. We then transport the moving truck to the destination where you unload it. If you fill out the moving quote form at the top of this page, we will quickly email you some pricing. Thanks!

Yes, we have several moving truck rental companies that would love to give you a moving quote. You migh also be surprised with some of our full-service movers as well. If you have a small shipment, they will often fill out their larger orders and make you a great deal on moving.

Yes. We have several moving truck rental companies that provide the “you load they drive” service. If you fill out our online moving quote form, they will email you excellent prices for both a full service move and a you load they drive move. You may be surprised to find out that on your smaller shipments, the full service moving price is as good or better than the self-service moving.

Renting space on a moving van is one of the most economical ways to move. Movers almost always have some open space on moving vans going cross-country. If you have some flexibility with your loading and don’t mind putting in a little elbow grease to do a Uload They Drive type move, you can very often rent space on a moving van for pennies on the dollar. We have a few different movers that offer this type of service. If you want You Load They drive service, put “You Load They Drive” in the coupon code on the quote form and you will be contacted by the movers offering that service.

Yes, the quote form works for both self moves and for full service moves. If you would like a self move quote, make sure that you indicate “self” in the coupon code field of the form.

Yes, the you pack they drive service is going to be the most economical moving service that is available. Moving truck availability does have a lot to do with last minute move pricing, but by loading and unloading your own furniture, you are taking a huge expense out of the cost of your move.

Military DITY Move Questions

State:
 ME
Email:
 kaytlynberube@gmail.com

Reimbursement by the government is only available for a military member that is making a Permanent Change of Station (PCS), Do-It-Yourself (Dity) move.  If your husband has been issued orders to make the move, then yes, you should be eligible for reimbursement.  You will need to verify with the base traffic management office.

Hi Adrianna,We can help you with a self-service move. You may want to see if the military will help with the moving expenses as part of the Dity program (do-it-yourself moving). It is our experience that the government sometimes have allowances for self service moving for departing military members that will help them relocate at the end of their service period.

Hi Jeff,You are exactly right. We can either bring out a moving truck or a container for your military dity move. For military members, we can provide certified weight tickets so that you can get your reimbursement from the government for your dity move.

Hi Edgar, We do have special options for military moves. If you are doing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS or Dity Move), we can provide you weight tickets for your move so that you can be reimbursed. If you want to ship your car and furniture on the same truck, we can do that as well. You will need to check to see if your moving allowance from the government will cover moving cars as well as the furniture.

Hi Rudy,We do a LOT of military dity moves and PCS moves. We can get you certified weight tickets so that you can get reimbursed by the military for your son’s change of station.

Hi Gabby,Yes, we can service your move on Ft Lewis. We are a licensed and certified military dity mover. We can also provide the weight tickets that you will need to be reimbursed for your military PCS move.

Hi Jo,We do a lot of moves for the military and would be an excellent choice for your transportation needs. Your goods will travel behind a security bulkhead, so they will be safe and secure. We will never leave a truck in front of another customer’s home with someone else’s goods on board, so you have security and continuity of service throughout the process.

Hi Claude,Yes, we do have special military programs that are related to the DITY move process through the DOD move program.

Hi Cieara,We would be happy to help you with your move, but to qualify for reimbursement through the US Govt DITY program, you would have to have orders for your move. Simply being active military will not qualify you for reimbursement.

Hi Jo,When you are doing a military move like that, the military will send them to a storage facility in DC. Those crates are owned by MTMC “Military Traffic Management Command” and they will not let you “have” them. You will need to offload the crates into the moving truck at the facility in DC. We can help you arrange all of that. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we can walk you through the process, helping with pricing and arranging the transportation.

Hi Francis,Yes, we have some excellent service offerings for military and military dity moves. We can move your car and furniture on the same truck and we can also get you weight tickets for your move as needed. Please call our office at 800-876-6839 and ask for one of our military relocation specialists, they will walk you through the process and get you pricing for the different options that we have for military moving.

For a dity move, we will provide a set of certified weight tickets for the shipment in its entirety. We will also provide the receipts and signed bills of lading for you to get reimbursed for your move by your base’s Traffic Management Office.

Hi James,Please give us a call to discuss moving your car with the military. There are several factors that can affect your rate. Each branch of the military has different requirements and we need to know some specific details to get you an accurate rate.

We actually provide the moving truck, driver, fuel, and door to door transportation… We have extensive experience with Military PCS and Dity moves. We will provide you with certified weight tickets for every dity move so that you can get your move allowance. You might want to read more on this site about how our military moving program works. For pricing, fill out our moving quote form at the top of this page and we will quickly get your a price for your move.

Hi Rebecca,We have excellent prices for military moves and can help you with all of the paperwork for your traffic management office. And yes, we can provide certified weight tickets for your Dity move. When you set up your move, make sure that you let us know that you are doing a military PCS so that we can mark your paperwork correctly.

Dity movers definitely need to get weight tickets in order to get reimbursed for their military move. When you fill out the moving quote request form on the right hand side of the page, make sure that you put DITY MOVE or DITY MOVER in the coupon code. You will get a military discount on your long distance move and you will get moving quotes that include free weight tickets.

Yes, we heard that the PCS movers are completely booked into August and that the only option for military movers until then is a DITY (do it yourself) move. We still have availability for the You Load They Drive service for this month, but you need to make your moving reservations with no less than 5 business days notice so that we can route a moving truck to your location. Obviously, the sooner you make your moving reservations, the better.

Yes. We can provide you with the documentation that you need to be reimbursed for your military PCS and Dity Moves.

RizaJane,Yes, you can ship items in the car that your put on the moving van. If this is a military dity move, we can get you weight tickets so that you can get your government reimbursement for moving expenses.

Dity (do it yourself) moves are a large part of our business. The military allows you to arrange for your own move and then reimburses you based on rank and moving allowances. Military members make money using us for their Dity moves. It works very much like a civilian move with a couple of minor changes. You make your moving arrangements with us. We bring the moving truck to your home. You load it. We then take it to the destination where you unload it (each moving van is equipped with furniture blankets, loading ramps, tie-down straps, and a dolly). At delivery, our driver will give you certified weight tickets for the weight of your shipment. You turn those tickets in and the government pays you for the equivalent cost of a full-service move. Whatever the difference is between our cost and the full-service move cost that they allow, you get to keep! The military likes to allow the member to arrange for their own moves in this fashion. There is a higher satisfaction rate and, quite frankly, it saves them money. If you have any other questions on your military move, please do not hesitate to call. Our staff is all trained in handling those relocations.

We are getting a lot of requests for our dity move service because you can make money on your dity move by loading and unloading your own furniture and buying the transportation through us. If you fill out the moving rate request form at the top of this page and put “military move” in the comments section, we will quickly email pricing and send you more information on how the process works.

Dity Moving Man,Thank you for the good question. We have a lot of people ask this about their military pcs and dity moves. When you are moving your car and furniture on the same moving van for a dity move, you will only receive one weight ticket. You will need to tell your military traffic management office that you shipped your car on the same truck and they will subtract the weight of the car from your shipment. You may have to get them a registration or similar document showing the weight of the car. If you are authorized, the military will reimburse for the car shipment as well.

Yes, we are very familiar with the military dity move program for military members that are making a PCS (Permanent Change of Station). We provide certified weight tickets as well as some other perks for our military movers. Please make your relocation specialist aware that you are active military.

Military move cost varies by how much space you are using on the long distance moving truck and how far you are moving. To get rates for your move, you can either fill out the form above or call us at 800-876-6839.

Yes, we provide weight tickets with all Dity moves. Each of our relocation specialists is well-versed in the paperwork and requirements to help military personnel properly perform their self-service move. Please remember that we provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door-to-door service. In our opinion, there is no better way to do a long distance military relocation.

We are the preferred provider for military dity moves for a number of military installations across the country. We provide the moving truck, driver, fuel, and door to door service (ramps and bulkhead walls are also included). You can ship your car on the same moving van with your furniture. Make sure that you let your relocation specialist know when booking so that they can help you with the paperwork for the military dity move portion.

For a dity move, we can give you up to 3 days to load the moving truck and 3 days to unload it. The transit time to move from Wisconsin to North Carolina is approximately 3 days. We have a lot of options for our military moves to help accommodate your schedule (such as free storage). Please let us know your needs when you call in and we will help put the best military moving package together for you.

Hi Lauren,Yes, we can handle in-state Dity moves. We actually specialize in long distance dity moves and are well-versed in not only handling these moves, but also providing the correct paperwork to you so that you can get reimbursed by your base traffic management office.Thank you for your service!

Military moving is easy and a military PCS move that is handled properly can actually make you money. The military moving program allows the serviceman or servicewoman to procure their own moving services and be reimbursed by the military. The best part about the military PCS program is that they pay you based on the weight and distance the shipment moves. If you are able to procure a more inexpensive moving solution, the military allows you to pocket the difference. We suggest looking at You Load – They Drive services. By loading and unloading your own goods, you save a lot of money and the military does not discriminate in their repayment plan. A well-planned move can have the service member pocketing several hundred to a couple of thousand dollars in savings.

All movers are required to provide weight tickets for military pcs moves at no charge. You need to make sure that your mover knows you are performing a PCS move before they leave your origin city. In order to get reimbursed by the military, you need both loaded and empty weight tickets.

Bruce,The military pcs movers generally give you a day to load and a day to unload. They do not leave the moving trucks overnight in front of your house full of your furniture! You need to let the moving company know when you are booking your PCS move that you need to delay delivery. Many times, the mover can make you the first one on the moving truck and the last one off. That will allow you some time to vacation in between loading and unloading your shipment.

Most people that are making a Military PCS move are using the You Pack They Drive moving services. This is called a “do it yourself” or DITY move. It is less expensive and allows the military member to make more money on their PCS move. If you need a Dity mover, put Dity Mover in the coupon code section of the moving quote form and we will only send your request to moving companies that deal with military moving. They know to get the weight tickets and appropriate PCS and Dity move documentation in order for you to get reimbursed for your move.

Yes and no. A military PCS move is simply a “permanent change of station” military move. The DITY military move program is the “Do It Yourself” section of the military PCS moving program. You can either get a full service mover for your PCS move or you can get a You Pack They Drive option for your DITY move.

Most military members participating in the DITY move program are using the you pack they drive services. If you fill out one of our moving quote forms and put DITY MOVE in the coupon field, we will make sure that the appropriate military movers email moving quotes to you.

Moving your car and furniture with MovingPlace from Pennsylvania to California is easy.  We ship your furniture and household items in a moving van.  The Acura would be shipped on a large auto-transport (the big trucks that haul eight or nine cars at a time).  Because the rates change based on factors such as time of year and fuel costs, we do not post rates in the FAQs.  If you would please fill out one of our quote forms, we will quickly email pricing for your move.  Or, for more immediate assistance, please give us a call at 800-876-6839.

We can certainly help you moving your cars and furniture to Georgia.  In order to get you some accurate pricing, we need to know if Norcross is, in fact, your final destination.  We can give you pricing to put both of your cars on the same auto transporter and then ship your household items inside a moving van.  You will do the loading and unloading of the furniture, but our car transport driver will handle the loading and unloading of the cars.

Hi Alfredo,We can usually handle any shipment with 48 hours’ notice. For shipping your car and furniture, it will be most economical to split the shipment and put the household goods on a moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. We will email over rates for both.

Hi James,We can certainly help you with moving your car. The cars have to be empty when they are moved, so the boxes will need to go on a moving truck. Our recommendation is to ship the car with us and the boxes via UPS. That is going to be the most cost-effective way of handling your order. If you had furniture and a load to go, then one of our moving trucks would be the best option. We see that you filled out a quote form and will be emailing you rates. Thanks!

Hi Ann,For a household goods shipment, we can hold it on the moving truck at the destination terminal until you arrive (there are storage fees, but they are very reasonable). Cars need to be delivered as we do not have storage options for them. Anyone can accept the car on your behalf and the driver will be unloading it. So you can have it left at a business or in the driveway at your new home as long as someone is there to sign for it and accept the keys.

Hi Chuck,We suggest getting a small space on our moving truck for your furniture, and then shipping the car on one of our auto transporters (the big tractor trailers that haul 8 or 9 cars at a time). If you fill out one of our quote request forms and put the make and model of the car in the comments section, we will email you pricing for moving your car and furniture. If you need immediate assistance, please call us at 800-876-6839.

Hi Cindy,We can set up the schedules for your car and household shipping so that they are picking up and dropping off at about the same time. There will be two different trucks involved (one for household and one for the car shipment), so it won’t be at exactly the same time.

Hi Cindy,When we ship a car on an auto transporter (the big tractor trailers that haul several cars at the same time), we ship them full service; meaning that the driver is going to load, unload, and secure the vehicle. Our household goods moving is all self-service (customer load and unload, we provide the truck and driver).

Hi Ervis,We can help you move your car, but the cars must be empty when they are shipped (for safety and security purposes). You cannot put any furniture or other items to travel inside the car when shipping.

Hi Nycole,We can transport modified cars (in your case, a modified truck). We would need to use a specialized transporter to accommodate the body lift, so there will be limited availability (meaning we will need flexibility on when it is picked up). Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 for pricing and to go over the details of transporting your car and furniture. Thanks!

Hi Sharon,Absolutely! We specialize in moving cars and furniture. We would put your car on one of the big auto transporters (the trucks you see on the highway hauling 8 or 9 cars at a time) and get you a small space on one of our cross country moving trucks.

Hi Leela,I see that you filled out our quote request form. You should have already gotten an email from us with pricing for moving your car and furniture. We do not post the pricing on our forum as the pricing is affected by seasonality and fuel prices. Thanks!

Hi Peter,That is exactly what we do! For your collectible car, we can get an enclosed auto-transport for you. It is a little more expensive, but will ensure safe transit with no exposure to the elements. Cars are insured in transit as well.

Hi Shawna,Yes, you could rent a full 53ft tractor trailer from us and load everything on the same moving van to travel together. For others reading this, shipping the car and furniture together on the same moving truck is only available if you order the entire truck. To request a quote for this, select “53ft Tractor Trailer” as the size on the drop down menu on the quote form and then put the make and models of the car in the comments section. We have several coverage options available, depending on your moving needs. Please contact us at 800-876-6839 and one of our moving consultants will be able to price this for you. Thanks!

Hi Allison,We can certainly help you with moving your car and household items. We will get you a moving truck for your household (you will do the loading and unloading). For the car, as long as it is operable, we will transport it on an auto transporter (the big trucks that haul 8 or 9 cars at a time). For cars, the driver will do the loading, unloading, and securing of the vehicle… so you don’t have anything to worry about with that other than handing the driver the keys! 🙂

Hi Brittany,We specialize in moving your car and furniture, so yes! If you fill out our quote form and put the makes and models of the cars to ship in the comments section, one of our relocation specialists will email pricing for everything over to you.

Hi Erica,Our pricing has some fluctuations based on demand and timing, so we do not put prices on the forum. We can certainly help you with moving your car and furniture and have already emailed pricing to the email that you provided. Please let us know if we can help in any way.

Hi Margaret,We would suggest moving the car on one of our auto transporters (the big trucks that haul 7 or 8 cars at a time) and then shipping your smaller items via UPS… If you have furniture to move, we would be the right choice and could provide some great pricing to ship your car and furniture, but with the small stuff, UPS is the way to go.

Hi Don,That goes for enclosed as well. There are liability issues with us shipping anything inside the cars. This is pretty much a universal rule in the industry that cars must be shipped empty. We recommend boxing your tools and sending them UPS Ground freight. That is the cheapest way to send boxes. Shipping parcels with UPS is expensive, but you can get good pricing from them on regular-sized boxes being shipped ground freight. It is a different system than the high-priced parcel service.

Hi Joette,The transit time for moving your furniture and car will vary based on how far you are moving. A general rule of thumb is that the moving trucks will travel 400 miles per day on average. When you book your move, we will not only schedule the pickup, but also the delivery! We take the guesswork out of moving.

Hi David,To move your cars and furniture, we would recommend you splitting your shipment up into two parts to save money. The cars will ship on an auto transporter (the big trucks that haul 7 or 8 cars at a time) and the furniture will move on a big moving truck. You can put the car and furniture on the same moving van, but the cost is really high, so we recommend moving them separately.

Hi Matt,We get this question a lot. When moving a car and furniture, we put the household items on one moving van and the car on an auto transporter. Cars that are moved on auto transporters must be completely empty. We will get you plenty of space inside the moving van so that you do not need to load the car down.

Hi Linda,It may seem counter-intuitive, but shipping your car on an auto transporter and your furniture in a moving van (separating the two) is actually cheaper than putting them all on one moving van. The cars can be moved rather inexpensively on an auto transporter and that offsets the added expense of putting it on a moving van.

Hi Susan,I see that you filled out a quote request form on our website. We will email rates for moving your daughter’s car and furniture as we do not put prices on the forum as the prices change throughout the seasons and the forum stays up year round. Thanks! 800-876-6839

Hi Lisa,We can certainly move you furniture and cars from Connecticut to South Carolina. We have excellent service capabilities on the East Coast (nationwide, for that matter!). If you fill out the quote form on this page or call us at 800-876-6839, we would be happy to quickly put together some great rates for your move.

Hi Nkechi,We would recommend moving your car and furniture on separate trucks to keep the cost down. We can move them both on the same moving truck, but the moving truck services are more expensive and the car would be overpriced to do so. Please put the make and model of the car to be moved in the quote form comments box and we will be happy to email pricing to you. Or, for faster service, please give us a call at 800-876-6839.

Hi Dee,We can certainly help you move your car and furniture. As you have probably already read in the forum, we ship the cars on the big auto transporters and the furniture in the long distance moving trucks. When you fill out the form requesting a quote, please put the make and model of your pickup truck in the comments section of the quote form so that our relocation specialists can put together an accurate price for your car and furniture transport.

Hi Joy,We would be happy to help you. However, cars have to be empty when they are shipped. So you will need to box up the items and either ship them through our containerized moving services or through UPS ground freight. We will email pricing to you. Thanks!

Hi Carolyn,I would suggest that you use us! Lol. We could bring out a truck into which you would load your 2 bedroom apartment. We would transport it to Las Vegas where you would unload it. The car would be shipped on an auto transporter (one of the big tractor trailers that hauls 8 or 9 cars at a time). That is a full-service only option, meaning that the driver is going to load, unload, and secure the car on the moving truck. You just give him the keys and he does the rest.

Hi Lisa,For both safety and security reasons, cars have to be empty when they are moved on an auto transporter. We can get you pricing for our smallest container to move the misc items at a very competitive price.

Hello Howard,When moving a car and furniture, you can rent an entire moving van to load both the car and the furniture. That is the only way to move everything together. Cars must be empty when they are put onto auto transporters. Your best option would be to UPS your boxes and ship your car with us on an auto transporter.

Hi Dawn,We see your request and will add the cost to ship a car along with your cost to ship your furniture. Thanks!

Hi Sam,Yes we can move your car and furniture. As we have mentioned in other posts, the best way to do this kind of move is to put all of your personal household items in a moving van and ship the car on one of our auto transporters ( the big moving trucks that haul 7 or 8 cars at a time). We can arrange for this to all happen at basically the same time and still save you a lot of money. For a quote, please fill out the quote form on this page or give us a call at 800-876-6839.

Hi Bryanna,It usually takes about 6 days to move your car and furniture from Ohio to California. If we ship the car on an auto transporter (one of the big moving trucks that carries 7 or 8 cars at a time), it might arrive in as little as 5 days. Please let call our offices at 800-876-6839 and we can check to see scheduling for the exact towns/cities that you are moving from and to.

Hi Alex,Yes. If you want to ship your car and furniture on the same truck, you would need to order a full 53ft tractor trailer. If you have a large household move, this makes the most sense financially. If you only have a small amount of furniture to move, the best pricing by far is to ship the car on an auto transporter and the furniture on a moving truck.

Hi Felicia,Yes, when you fill out our quote form and put the make and model of your car in the comments section, we will automatically send you pricing for the car and furniture as well as a breakdown of options for your move. Thanks!

Hi Hsu,For safety and security purposes, cars must be empty when they are shipped.

If you do not have any furniture and need to ship your car, you will need to box up the stuff in the car and send it via UPS or the USPS. Whenever a car is shipped on an auto transporter, the car must be empty, both for security and safety purposes.

Hi Janet,When moving your car and furniture, there are a couple of things to consider when figuring out how to get them to arrive at the same time. Generally speaking, the cars are shipped on auto transporters and will arrive a couple of days faster than the moving vans. The only way to ship everything on the same day and have it arrive on the same day is to rent a full 53ft moving van and load everything onto one truck. We can certainly help you with this, but unless you have a large load of household goods to fill out the space, you will be wasting money on renting the whole truck. We can price this both ways for you. Please just indicate that in the comments section when you fill out the quote form at the top of this page.

Yes we do. We have moving trucks available that are 28ft long, 8.5ft wide, and 9ft tall (interior dimensions). We break those trucks down into smaller compartments using movable walls. If we use the smaller trucks, then your car would need to go on a separate auto transporter that we would provide. We can coordinate with you to have all of your stuff arrive at about the same time. Please give us a call and we can go over all of the details with you and get you pricing for the different options.

Hi Breanna,Moving your car and furniture on the same moving van only works if you rent and entire tractor trailer and load everything onto the same truck. If you have a LOT of furniture and household items, this is definitely the way to go. We find, however, that a lot of customers only need a small amount of space on a moving van. If that is your case, it is much cheaper for us to move the furniture on a moving van and the car on an auto transporter. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we can get pricing both ways for you.

Hi Patty,Cars must be empty when they are moved. We can get pricing for a small shipment of household items and price the car separately to get you the best bang for your buck.

Hi Alex,We can certainly help you. Long distance, cross country moving is our specialty.. as is moving cars and furniture. We can get you pricing for shipping the household goods on a moving van and the car on an auto transporter., Or, if you have a whole house to move, we can price everything to go on full 53 foot moving truck.

Hi Kristina,We can certainly help you move your car and furniture out to California. I see that you have already filled out the quote request form, so we will be emailing pricing for both.

Hi Dawn,When moving your car and furniture, we will give you great pricing for both. We give you the best prices right up front, so there is no room to lower them by bundling them together.

Hi Tammy,We can move your car and furniture together on the same truck, however, you would need to rent the entire tractor-trailer to do that. It financially only works if you have a large household to move at the same time. The most economical way to handle a small shipment and a car is to put the household on our moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. We can make this happen in basically the same time frame, so there should not be an inconvenience… and you will save a whole lot of money on you overall move.

Yes Anstin,We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transportation. For a move like yours where you are moving a car and your furniture, we will put the car on an auto transporter and the household goods will go on a moving van. That is the most inexpensive and efficient way to handle it. We can have everything picked up and delivered at about the same time.

Hi Danasia,Absolutely, we can help you move your car and furniture. When you fill out the quote form, select the approximate size for your household items to ship, and just put the makes and models of the cars to ship in the comments section. We will email you rates for everything. If you would like immediate assistance, please feel free to call us at 800-876-6839 and we can instantly generate pricing for your move.

Hi Avis,We are one of the only places that can move your car and your furniture. We would not actually tow your car behind the moving van. Instead, we would put it on one of the big auto transporter trucks (the kind that haul 7 or 8 cars at a time). We could arrange for the pick up and delivery of your household goods to happen at approximately the same time.

Hi Morgan,It is industry-standard for cars to be empty when they are being shipped. Your furniture and household items can go inside the moving van, but nothing can be inside the car.

Hi Kelly,The best way (cheapest) to move your car and furniture is going to be to put your car on an auto transporter and you household items on a moving truck. If you put the furniture and car on the same moving van, you have to rent an entire 53ft tractor trailer and that will not make financial sense for your move. I see that you filled out our moving quote request form. One of our relocation specialists will be reaching out to help you with some rates. Thanks!

Hi Rakesh,If you want to move your car and furniture on the same moving truck, you have to rent the entire moving van to make it work. With smaller shipments like yours, we recommend using our moving truck for the furniture and household items, and then letting us set up an auto transporter to haul your car. We can have them pick up and drop off at approximately the same time, so it will not be any less convenient, but it will be a lot less expensive.

Depending on how large your 3 bedroom house is (and how heavily furnished) will determine whether or not we should move your car and furniture on the same moving truck or whether we should put the furniture on the moving truck and the car on an auto transport. Please call our office at 800-876-6839 and we can discuss options.

Hi J,The most economical way to move your SUV and furniture would be to split the shipment in two. It will be much cheaper to put your SUV on an auto transporter and then put your household goods onto one of the moving trucks that we provide. We can arrange to have your car and furniture picked up and delivered at approximately the same time, so it will be convenient and inexpensive!

Hi Deyanna,Yes you can move your car and furniture on the same moving truck, but the only way to do that is to rent the entire giant moving van. This works if you have a lot more furniture to move than you have listed above. Our recommendation is to let us split the shipment for you, moving the car on an auto transporter and the furniture on a moving van. They will pick up and deliver at basically the same time and save you a whole lot of money doing it that way.

Hi Shirley,We can certainly help you with moving your car and furniture to California. We service almost every point in the “lower 48”. If you will fill out our quote form, we will email pricing to you. Please make sure that you add the make and model of the car that is to be moved in the comments section on the quote form so that we can price it correctly.

Hi Sai,For safety, security, and insurance reasons, all cars and vehicles must be completetly empty when they are shipped. Even pillows and bags of clothing are not allowed to be shipped inside the vehicles when they are on the auto transports.

It depends on where you are moving from and to. We can certainly price it both ways for you and see which option best fits your needs and your budget. For this type of move, it would probably be best to call in and let us talk out the details and options for moving your cars and furniture.

Hi Christopher,We can ship your car and furniture at the same time. If you would like them to be shipped on the same moving truck, you would need to rent the entire moving van. With just a one bedroom apartment of furniture like you have listed above, this would not be economical at all. If you give us a call at 800-876-6839, we can price it both ways for you so that you can decide if you think it is worth the extra money to ship your car and furniture on the same truck.

Yes, we can put two cars together on the same auto transporter.

Hi Megan,We can certainly help you move your 2 cars and furniture. We have service to Clovis, NM from Columbus, OH as well. Please put the make and model of the cars to be shipped into the quote form at the top of this page and we will quickly email pricing for moving the furniture and the cars.

Yes Oliver, we can move your car and furniture from CA to MD. If you need weight tickets for military reimbursement, we can arrange for that as well. To have someone else sign for and load your goods in CA, you would just need to give us a release with them named as your designee for that move. If you give us a call at 800-876-6839, we can get all of the details worked out. Thanks!

Hi Tari,We get this question a lot. The best way to move a small amount of furniture and a car is to split the shipment. We should put the household items on a moving van and then ship the car on an auto transporter. We can arrange for all of this to happen about the same time and it is the safest way to ship everything.

Hi Cassandra,Kind of… We can move your car and furniture, but we do not tow the cars behind the moving vans. The cars are normally shipped on the big auto transporters (trucks that you see driving around with 8 or 9 cars loaded on them). The household goods would go on a separate moving van. If you would like a quote, you can either fill out the form on this page (we move people, we won’t sell your information) or you can give us a call at 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Olivia,Transit time to Salt Lake City is approximately 6 days. If you want to have your car and furniture picked up and delivered at the same time, they would need to go on the same moving van. This is the most expensive way to ship your car. I would recommend checking our option of moving the household on the moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. The car will actually get there a little quicker than the household goods. We would be happy to quote you prices both ways so that you can decide if it is worth the extra money. 🙂

HI Carol,There are a couple of way to move your car and furniture as well as your wave runners. I would put the wave runners inside a moving van along with your furniture and boxes, and then ship the cars one of our auto transporters. Loading the cars into the moving van would not make financial sense as the moving vans are much more expensive than the auto transport. The cars have to be empty when you move them, but if you are already getting a moving van for the furniture and wave runners, you can just put the boxes inside with the other items. Thanks!

Hi Joshua,We don’t put pricing up on the forum as rates change periodically. We can certainly help you move your car and furniture from Illinois to Oregon. I see that you already filled out our quote form. When filling out the quote form, please make sure to put the make and model of the car being shipped into the comments section so that we can get the correct pricing for it.

Hi Sasha,We can move your car and furniture at the same time, but for a shipment as small as yours, it would not be on the same moving truck. We would ship your car on an auto transporter (the big trucks that hold 7 or 8 cars at a time) and your household goods on a moving van.

Hello,Yes, we do have service to San Antonio and can help you move your car and furniture. I see that you already filled out the quote form. We will be emailing a rate to your shortly. Thanks!

Hi Dominic,There are a couple of ways to move your cars and furniture. You can either ship your furniture on a moving van and then have us move your cars on an auto transport, or you can rent a full 53ft moving van and load everything into one truck. It would probably be best to call us and let us price the different options for your. Our phone number is 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Stan,We can move your car and furniture on the same truck. However, it will be cheaper to put the car on one of our auto transporters and move the furniture in a moving truck. We will be happy to quote the move for you both ways so that you can compare pricing and determine whether or not it is worth the extra money to ship both the car and furniture on the same moving van.

Hi Dawn,When moving your car and furniture, the only way to put it all on the same moving truck is to use a full 53ft tractor trailer. When you are moving a lot of stuff, that is a great option. When you only have a small amount, it is best to split the shipment into a household goods shipment on a moving truck and a car shipment on an auto transporter. Any vehicle shipped on an auto transporter must be completely empty (for both safety and liability concerns). If you have only enough stuff to fit in your 4Runner, we recommend shipping that stuff UPS or USPS ground. That will be your cheapest option. We could then move your car for a great price.

Hi Briana,With a house that large and a car to move, we might want to look at moving your car and furniture on the same moving van. We can rent you exclusive use of a 53ft tractor trailer that is fully equipped with moving equipment for your use. Moving everything on the same truck is the cheapest way to do it when you are have enough to warrant renting the entire moving van. If you only have a 1 bedroom apartment or a smaller shipment, you should split the move and send the furniture on one truck and the car on an auto transporter.

Please put the make and model of the vehicle to be shipped in the comments section so we know to include pricing for it. Thanks!

Hi Christine,We can certainly help you with this. You may want to consider renting a full 53ft moving van so you can put all of your furniture and your cars on the same moving truck. Please select that option when requesting a quote and one of our relocation specialists will email pricing for your move.

Hi Jim,Your best (cheapest) option would be to ship the boxes via UPS and let us ship your car, motorcycle, and pick up. To order a tractor trailer to move everything at the same time will double your cost. If you break them up, you will pay a lot less money and everything will still arrive at about the same time (which is the reason that you ship everything on the same truck in the first place!).

Hi Massiel,We would need to know where you are moving the car and furniture from and to in order to give you a quote for moving it. Please fill out our quote form and we will promptly email pricing options to you.

Hi V,We can move your cars and furniture on the same truck, or we can ship the furniture on a moving van and put the cars on an auto transport. For moves across country, it can save you a lot of money if you ship the cars separately. We will be happy to quote it both ways. There are several different coverage options available and each has a different price (based on amount of coverage, deductibles, etc). Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 to discuss options and determine what is the best option for your move.

Hi Joya,When moving 2 cars and furniture, we can actually give you a quote for a full 53ft moving van. It is a little more expensive, but everything can ride on the same truck. It is also direct service, meaning that nothing else is loaded on the truck and the driver that picks it up is the driver that delivers. We will email the quote to you shortly.

Hi Cristina,I would suggest splitting this shipment. You should ship your car on one of our car transporters and your furniture on a moving truck. Unless you have a lot of stuff or 2 cars to ship, that is the most economical way to move your car and furniture.

Hi Alesha,We do not service Alaska at this time. If you ship your car to Seattle, we can certainly provide you an excellent price to move your car and furniture from Seattle to Ft Lauderdale.

Hi Los,It would definitely be cheaper to move your furniture on a moving van and then let us move your car on an auto transporter. That will be the most inexpensive way to move your car and furniture at this time.

Hi Jenna,We get this question a lot. For safety and security, the car must be empty when it is transported. If you just have boxes and no furniture to move, we recommend shipping boxes at the UPS store. If you have a house or apartment of furniture to ship as well as a car, we have great options for you. But, with just boxes, shipping UPS ground is going to be the fastest and cheapest way to do it.

Hi Maria,Are you moving the cars and furniture or just the cars? If you fill out one of our quote forms, we can better serve you with that information. Or, if you prefer, please call us at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists can price everything out for you.

HI Haylie,We get this question a lot. If all you are moving is boxes, the best option is to ship the boxes via UPS ground and then let us move the car. If you want to move your car and furniture on the same moving truck, you have to order the entire moving truck and this is oftentimes not cost effective. We have some great options where we can move your furniture on one truck and your car on an auto transporter, at the same time, and save you a lot of money. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we will give you some options for your move.

Hi Elizabeth,When moving a pickup truck and furniture, you cannot have anything inside the pickup. It would not be safe.

Hi Sam,When you are only moving an apartment and a car, it is much cheaper for us to put the car on an auto transporter and put the furniture on the moving truck. The only time it makes economic sense to put the car and furniture on the same moving van is if you have a whole lot of furniture to move and are going to take the entire tractor trailer. Then you get a big discount on using the entire truck for your move.

Hi Chelsea,We get this question a lot. When moving your car and furniture, the deciding factor is how large the household shipment is. If there is a smaller shipment of household goods, it is more economical to move the furniture on one moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. To move your car and furniture on the same truck, you really need to buy the entire moving van. This makes perfect sense with a big order of household goods, but with a small order like yours, this would be too much space.

Hi Jack,We are going to need a little more information to get pricing for moving your car and furniture. If you could fill out our quote request form, we need to know how much furniture you are going to be moving? Please put the make and model of the car in the comments section on the quote form and one of our relocation specialists will email pricing to you. Or, for faster service, please feel free to call us at 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Renate,This would be a good move for a 53ft moving van. We can move your cars and furniture on the same truck when we you order one of those. The big vans also come with pads, straps, and a dolly. Please give us a call or fill out our online quote form and we will get you pricing asap. We do not post prices on the forum because they vary depending on time of year and locations. Thanks!

If you only have a small amount of furniture to move along with a car, it makes the most financial sense to split the shipment. By that we mean moving the car on and auto transporter and then moving the furniture on a moving truck. We can coordinate both of those things to happen at the same time so you are not inconvenienced. You would only want to move the car and furniture on the same moving van if you have enough furniture and household items to warrant renting an entire tractor-trailer and putting everything in one truck.

Hi Tara,When you have multiple cars and furniture to move, we should price it two ways. First, we should look at moving your car and furniture on the same moving van. Second, we should look at shipping the furniture on a moving truck and the cars on an auto transporter. Depending on where you are moving from and to will dictate which option will be cheapest.

Hi Danielle,When moving your car, it must be empty for safety and security reasons. If you don’t have much stuff to ship, we recommend going to the UPS store and shipping it. You will find that to be the most inexpensive way to do it. We will be happy to help you move your car, but it must be empty. Thanks!

Hi Jane,This is exactly the type of move that we do best. We can move your daughter’s car and furniture. I would not recommend moving the car and furniture on the same truck in this instance because you would need to rent the whole moving van to do this, and it would not be economical to do so. I see that you have already filled out one of our quote forms to get an estimate. One of our relocation specialists will email you shortly with prices for your move (if they have not already done so). Thanks!

Hi Sig,We can certainly help you. As I mentioned on a previous blog, it is probably best to ship the car and furniture separately to minimize expense. You are teetering right on the edge of it making sense to rent the entire moving van and put everything on the same truck. If you will give us a call at 800-876-6839, we will give you pricing both ways – with the car and furniture on the same moving van and with the car going on an auto transporter (at the same time, but on different trucks).

Hi Daniel,We should definitely get prices for moving your car and furniture. I would suggest that you ship the furniture on a moving truck and the car on an auto transporter. We can arrange for those to be picked up and delivered at about the same time. That will be the most cost efficient way to to move your stuff. I have heard that rental trucks out of California are ridiculously expensive. We might be able to provide you with a good alternative to that rental truck.

Hi Jane,All of the moving trucks are approximately 8ft wide and 9ft tall. When someone selects “Studio” on our quote form, we will send them a price for 4ft of length on a truck with the above dimensions. This would be an appropriate size selection for the items that you have listed. When filling out the quote form, if you want to move your car and furniture, please put the make and model of the car in the comments section and we will price that for you as well.

Hi Savannah,Yes, we do have options for moving your car and furniture at the same time and we can store them for you until you arrive.

HI Rebecca,Yes, we can help. When you fill out the quote form, put the make and model of the car to be moved in the comments section. We will promptly email you a quote for shipping your employer’s car.

Hi Tiff,I see that you are moving your car and furniture on separate moving trucks. You can put a few light items in the trunk of the car, but nothing heavy and nothing can go in the seats of the car. We can work with you to coordinate arrival times. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we can work out the details with you.

Hello Victoria,We can ship your car and we can ship your furniture and other household items to Illinois. Please fill out our quote form at the top of this page or call us at 800-876-6839 and we will give you some pricing options.

Hi Randi,Normally, we need the car to be empty when being shipped. You can put a few items in the trunk, but nothing is allowed to be in the seats. There are a few exceptions. Please call our office for details at 800-876-6839.

Hi Nytoshia,We can certainly help with moving your car and furniture to Texas. We have a couple of different options. If you have a large amount of stuff, we recommend getting a full sized, 53ft moving van and loading everything onto one moving truck. If you don’t have a lot of stuff to ship, it will be more economical for us to move the car on one truck and the furniture on another. Please call our office and we can help you determine the most cost effective solution for your move.

Hi Patricia,We can certainly help you with moving your cars and furniture. You are moving quite a bit of stuff. We should get you pricing for a full tractor-trailer moving van so that you can ship everything at the same time. Please fill out the quote form at the top of this page. In the comments, write “need a full moving van” and our staff will know to send pricing to ship everything on the same moving truck.

Hi Linda,Yes, you can move your car and furniture on the same truck. Sometimes the pricing is better to put everything on the same moving van, other times it makes more sense to put the household goods on the moving van and to put the car on a car transporter. We can get you pricing both ways. The fastest way to get pricing for this would be to give us a call at 800-876-6839. Or, you can fill out the quote form at the top of this page. Put in the comments the make and model of the car and that you would like pricing both ways and we will email pricing for moving your car and furniture. Thanks!

Hi Phil,We saw your quote request come in from the quote form and have already emailed pricing for your move. Please let us know if we can help in any way.

Hi Tracy,With a household shipment that small, it would be best financially to move the car and furniture on different trucks (the car on a car transporter and the furniture in a moving van).If you fill out the quote form, we will promptly email you pricing for both. Thanks!

Hi James,We have your quote request form and will email pricing to ship your truck and your furniture. Thanks,Movingpla

Hi Naga,We have some excellent options for moving an entire house and your car. For this service, we recommend ordering and entire 53ft moving van. That is an upgraded service that will give you the logistics equipment that you need to secure your household goods in the front of the moving van and put your car on the back of it. The car would travel inside the moving van in this case. For others that may be reading this, if you only have a small amount of furniture, let us quote you for the furniture on a moving truck and the car on a car carrier (shipped separately). That is the most economical way to ship a small amount of furniture and a car. .

Hi Jennifer,Yes we do have enclosed shipping options to move your car. The furniture will be moved on a separate moving van. I see that you have already filled out a quote request. If you did not get the pricing that we sent over, please give us a call at 800-876-6839.Thanks,

Hi Stephanie,Please fill out the quote form on this page. In the comments section, please put the make, model, and year of your car. The system will generate a quote for moving your car and furniture.

Yes Bartev,We can accommodate moving the car and furniture on the same moving truck, however, you have to order the entire moving van to do so (for liability purposes). So, if you have a lot of stuff to moving along with your car, this is the most cost-effective way to do it. If you only have a small amount of stuff and a car to move, you should split the shipment in two for the most cost-effective way to move.

Hi Ruby,I saw that you filled out the quote form as well. Thank you. We have emailed pricing to you for moving your car and furniture. We split the pricing out so that you can see the cost to move your car and the cost to move the furniture separately and together.

Hi Karen,We do not put the prices on the open forum as the forum stays online and the prices change over time so it does not give a fair comparison. If you will fill out the quote form, we can email you a price for moving your car and furniture.

Hi Brittany,Yes, we do have options where you can ship your car and furniture on the same moving van.

Hi Ed,There are a couple of variables that we should discuss in order to get you a good quote on moving your car and furniture. For smaller shipments like this, it usually makes the most sense to move the furniture on a moving van and move the car on an auto transporter. If you call our office at 800-876-6839, we can give you some different pricing options.

Hi Lori,When moving a car and furniture, you have two options. To move the car and furniture on the same moving truck, you need to order a large tractor-trailer and have the car loaded into the moving van. If you have a smaller shipment, it is much more affordable to ship the furniture on the moving truck and then have the car shipped on the auto transporter. The auto transporters are for cars only. You cannot put anything inside the cars when shipping on an auto transport.

Hi Susan,When moving a car and furniture on the same moving truck, the furniture goes in first at the front of the moving van. A bulkhead wall is put up to secure those goods in the trailer to keep them from moving around. The car goes on the back end of the moving van. It is loaded with a rollback wrecker and then the axles are secured using chains/straps that hook into the walls of the truck at floor level.

Hi Anchelle,We can certainly help you with moving your car and furniture. A lot of our customers ask about that service and utilize our car shipping and our furniture shipping options. If you fill out a quote request form, we will email some pricing to you. In the comments section of the quote form, please make sure to put the make and model of your car as well as a brief description of the items to be shipped. That will help us get you an accurate rate and some good options for your move.

Hi John,We specialize in cross country moving and moving your car and furniture at the same time… I see that you filled out our moving quote request form on this page. We will email over pricing for both the car and the furniture moving in just a few minutes.

Yes Maichi,We can ship your cars and furniture on the same moving van. This is really efficient if you have a lot to move. Select “53ft Moving Van” when selecting the size on our quote form so we know that you are shipping a whole lot of stuff and a cars on the same moving van. If you are a customer reading this and you only have a room of furniture, you should not select that. Select one room of furniture and put the make and model of the car to be shipped in the comments. Small shipments cost a lot less when we ship the car separately from the furniture.

Hi Jim,We can help you move your car and furniture. If you will please fill out a quote request form, we will email pricing to you right away. We do not put our pricing in the forum as it seasonally changes and the forum stays up for a couple of years so that people can read the questions and answers as needed.

Hello Osvaldo,You have come to the right place. We can give you pricing for a full tractor trailer so that you can move your car and furniture on the same truck. We need more information in order to get you a quote for your move, such as where are you moving from and to? If you fill out the quote form at the top of our website with this information and select the largest size on the shipment size drop-down menu, we will email you pricing for this option. Thanks!

Hi Julie,Correct, you provide the loading and unloading, we provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door-to-door transport. When we move your car on an auto transporter, you just hand the driver the keys and he does the loading and unloading of the car.

Yes Chelsi,We can move your furniture and as many cars as you would like to ship!

Yes Sonja,As I mentioned to the previous poster, we would recommend moving the cars on one of our auto transporters and moving the furniture on one of the moving vans. Please put the make and model of both of the cars in the comments section when you request a quote and we will email pricing for everything to you right away.

We have a couple of great options for moving your car and furniture. The best way to save money for the shipment that you have listed is to have us put the car on one of the auto transporters (those big trucks that haul 8 or 9 cars at one time) and ship the rest of the items on a moving van. If you will fill out the quote request form, select the smallest size shipment and put the make and model of your car to ship in the comments box. One of our relocation specialists will email a price to you asap.

Hi Anthony,We have cars and furniture moving all around the country. We can accommodate most major markets every week. Please give us a call and we can find the best truck option for your move.

Yes we do, Sonia. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and let our relocation specialists know your needs and they will bundle packages and get you different pricing options.

Hi Brenda,We will send prices to move both your car and furniture together and to ship them separately. It is more convenient to ship them together, but more economical to split them up and ship them independently.

Hi Sonia,Yes, we can move your car and furniture. There are a couple of options and ways to save money. If you ship the car separately from the furniture, we can get you some nice discounts by putting your car on a car transporter (the big trucks that carry 8 or 9 cars at a time). Please give us a call to discuss options as there are too many to list here.

Hi Kumar,We can help you with moving your car and furniture. Most of the time, it makes the most sense to ship the car on a car transporter (those big moving trucks that hold 8 or 9 cars) and have the furniture shipped on the moving van. If you would please fill out the quote form at the top of this page, we will quickly email you a quote. Thanks!MovingPlace

Hi Savita,We get this question a lot. Yes, you can move your car and furniture on the same truck. The only caveat to that is that you have to rent the entire moving van to do so. If you have a small shipment of furniture, it makes a lot more financial sense to have us ship the car on a car transporter and then ship the household goods on a moving van. We will be happy to price the move for you both way to help you make the best financial and logistical decision for your move.Moving Place Web Team

Hi Melanie,If you want to ship your car and furniture on the same moving van, the only option is to rent a full-sized tractor trailer. If you have a large home, that is the best financial option. For a small amount of furniture, the most inexpensive way to ship that and a car is to split the shipment and send the car on an auto transporter (the big trucks that carry 8 or 9 vehicles at a time) and the furniture on a smaller moving van. We can price this both ways for you to compare and decide what is best for your situation. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we would be happy to help.

It will take about a week for your shipment to move across the country. Once we have a better idea of when you want to move, we can work with you to accommodate almost any moving schedule.

Hi Jayson,Yes, you can ship two cars and household items on on truck. In order to do that, you will need to rent an entire 53ft moving van. If you don’t need that much space, we can also rent space for the furniture on a smaller truck and then ship the cars on an auto transporter. Either way, we can provide you an economical way to move your cars and furniture.

Thank you Mario. We saw that you had already filled out the quote request. A relocation specialist will email you pricing for you move both with and without the car.

Hi Joel,You can have items up to 100 pounds in the trunk of your car when you are moving your car on a moving truck / car transporter. For liability reasons, you cannot have anything sitting in the seats or main cabin of the vehicle.

Hello Carol,Yes, we can help you with moving your cars and furniture. We have several different options for you to consider, from shipping the cars on a car transporter to using a moving van that takes the cars and furniture all at the same time. The best way to price all of this is to call us at 800-876-6839 and let us give you several options to choose from.Moving Place

Hi Melody,I saw that you have already filled out the quote form, which is the first step to getting guaranteed pricing. One of our relocation specialists will be emailing you a moving quote for the moving the car and the furniture.Thank you!

We only move cars in connection with a household move. If you are doing both, we can get discounts for you that make it worthwhile for the consumer. If you are only moving a car, it is best to contact a car carrier directly.

Hi Renay,Yes we can get you rates for moving your cars and furniture. We see that you have requested a quote already. We will need the makes and models of the cars that you are looking to move so that we can price them accordingly. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 for immediate pricing. Thanks! web team

When you fill out the quote request form at the top of this page, please put the make and model of the car that you are wanting to ship along with your furniture. That will allow our move managers to send you a price for everything. web team

You may put stuff in the trunk of your car (up to 100#) when moving your car on a car carrier. If it is part of a larger move and the car is going on the same moving truck with your furniture, you may load it completely if you so choose at no extra charge.

Yes Fawaz. We have options for moving both your car and furniture.

Yes Mary Jo. My suggestion (meaning the cheapest way to move a car and furniture) would be to ship the furniture on a moving van and the cars on a car transporter. We can help you with all of it at a very reasonable price. Please fill out the quote form on this page and put the make and model of the cars to be shipped in the comments box. We will email over pricing and options in just a few minutes. Thanks! web team

We can certainly help you with that. One of our relocation specialists will be emailing pricing to you.

Hi Jenny,We get this question a lot. The car trunk can be loaded with less that 150# of goods. Nothing can be in the seats for liability purposes. This applies to both shipping on an auto transport and moving your car inside the moving truck with your furniture. Thanks!

Got it Jessica! We are sending prices to your email for the moving truck rental portion of the move and pricing for the car moving portion. You can move your car and furniture on the same day or spread it out, whatever is most helpful to your schedule. Web Team

Hello Chelle,Yes, we can certainly help you with the moving truck part of your move and with moving your car. We will send you pricing for both to the email that you provided. Thanks! Web Team

Yes. If you will fill out the quote form at the top of this page and put in the notes that you are shipping your car and your furniture, a quote will be emailed right away. Thanks!

Yes Mike,Motorcycles can be moved as part of a household shipment. However, we do not move motorcycles by themselves as it would not be cost effective in our system..

Thank you Sunicka,We saw that you had already filled out he moving quote form. We emailed rates to you for the moving truck as well as for moving the car. Thanks! Web Team

Hi Michelle,The best way to move a car and no furniture, just boxes, is to ship the car on an auto transporter and then let us put together a price for shipping the other household items on a moving truck. We have your email and will send over pricing for both options.

Hi Sabina,Please see the last question that we answered in the forum. Yes, we can ship your car and furniture at the same time. That being said, it is more economical to move your car on a car transporter and let us move the furniture on a small space on one of the moving trucks. If you call us at 800-876-6839, one of our relocation specialists can quickly assist you with pricing for all of this.

Hi Kerita,That would not be a problem, as long as you have the last registration for the vehicle, it can be transported on a moving truck or car transporter.

You can ship your car and furniture on the same moving truck. However, it is often more cost-effective to ship the car separately from the furniture. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists can help you with pricing on a moving truck for both options.

Most of the moving trucks have loading ramps that are designed to hold cars. Moving your car on the same truck with your furniture is as easy as driving it up the car ramps into the truck. If your car does not have good clearance, or if it is too heavy for the ramps, you can have a rollback wrecker come and load and unload the car for you. Many people opt to do this for safety reasons also. The cost of the wrecker is usually about $75 and is not included in the cost of your move.

Nancy,It takes about 3 days for the moving van to travel from New York to Miami. If you fill out the moving quote form above and put “moving a Saturn car” in the comments section, one of our relocation specialists will price your shipment and send you an estimate for the cost of moving the car and furniture on the same truck.

Yes. We help a lot of military members with their dity moves and permanent change of station (PCS) moves. We can move your car and furniture on the same moving truck, giving you the most-convenient possible move. We also provide weight tickets at no charge so that you can get reimbursed by the military for your dity move.

All of our services are available to all customers. We happen to do a lot of military dity moves, so we have a lot of information about that, but we ship cars and furniture for anyone that needs that service.

Yes James, you can certainly move your car and furniture on the same truck. If you fill out our moving quote form and put the make and model of the vehicle to be moved in the comments. One of our relocation specialists will work up some pricing and email you. Thanks!

All of our prices are based on the amount of space that you use on the moving truck, not the weight of the items being moved. If you fill out one of our quote forms, we will email you a price as quickly as possible. Please put the make and model of the cars that are to be moved. Or, you can call us at 800-876-6839 for faster service. Thanks!

You might want to look into self-service moving. Many of those companies will allow you to ship you car with your furniture. You load your stuff onto the moving van and then your car gets shipped on the same moving truck in a separate compartment.

Moving your car and furniture can seem like a daunting task. It is really quite simple. You have two decisions to make. Either put your car on the same moving van with your furniture or hire an auto transporter to move it. We think that the best way to move your car is on the same moving van with your furniture. While it is a little more expensive, it is the most convenient way to move a car and the safest since your car will be inside a moving van rather than open to the elements and road hazards. On moving day, your furniture is loaded into the moving truck first. Then, using the ramps that are equipped on the moving van, the car is driven up into the back of the truck. The driver will secure the car inside the moving van and put up a wall separating your car from the furniture. We have several moving companies that will provide this service. If you fill out our quote form, they will promptly email you moving quotes for services with and without the car.

Moving Prices and Estimates Questions

Hi Jay,We can certainly help you with a small shipment. We can get you a compartment on the moving van that is 4ft deep x 8.5ft wide x 9ft tall. You can load your goods securely in that private compartment and they will be shipped to your home. Once the shipment arrives at your destination, you unload it. If you put the items to be shipped in the comments section of the quote form and select the smallest size, we will email pricing to you right away. Thanks!

Hey Tany,Prices for storage vary by which month you need them. Please give us a call and we can get you pricing right away for Burley, ID once we know when you will be there. Thanks!

Hi Deby,We charge based on the amount of space that you use on the moving truck, not by the weight. If you fill out our quote form, one of our relocation specialists will put together some pricing options that might work for you.

Hi Erika,We are a self service mover, meaning that we provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. However, you provide the loading and unloading. All of the moving vans are 8ft wide and 9ft tall, so I would recommend the smallest length, 4 feet, of the truck. That would certainly accommodate what you are moving.

Hi Mark,We don’t put pricing on the forum as the forum information stays active long after the pricing has changed for a move. Our prices are good for 30 days and change with demand and seasonality in certain lanes. If you would like a current quote for your move, please either fill out the form at the top of this page or give us a call at 800-876-6839. Thank you!

Yes Christina,We will give you a price for your anticipated needs and then a rate per foot for any additional space that you need on the moving truck. Everything is done in writing and right up front. You will never be surprised with any pricing shenanigans when working with .Thanks!

Hello Alejandro,We will email some pricing to you for moving your aunt’s car and furniture. We do not put pricing up on the forum as the prices change with seasons and we don’t want out of date pricing to be listed on the internet.

Hi Cindy,We need your phone number to be able to call you. Please feel free to email stuart@movingplace.com with that contact information and he will get back with you to work out pricing for your mom’s move.

Hi Sandy,We can help you with this, but need you to either fill out the quote form or give us a call at 800-876-6839. We need your contact info so that we can send you a quote. Thanks!

Hi Kathy,Because rates change with seasons and zip codes in areas can affect pricing, we do not put pricing for moves out on the forum. You can either give us a call or fill out the quote form on our homepage and we will be glad to put together some excellent options for your move.

If you have a price from a competitor that provides the same service that we do, we are generally able to match or beat it. We are very competitively priced in most markets so you won’t have the need to bring a lower price to the table…. we want to be that company right up front! That being said, we cannot price match in every area of the country. Please give us a call and let us compare apples to apples and see if we can earn your business!

Hi Joy,Since things like gas prices and seasonality affect the price of moving, we do not put moving prices up on the forum. If you would like to call our office at 800-876-6839, we will be happy to help you with pricing for a full 53 ft moving van. Thanks!

Hi James,Yes, we can handle moving just about any-sized shipment from coast to coast. We can also move the your father’s car along with the furniture. What we should probably do is a piggyback move, where your dad gets a smaller compartment on a big moving van, and then move the car on an auto transporter. That will be the quickest and cheapest way to move your dad’s car and furniture.

Hi Lokesh,The prices that we quote are all-inclusive. There will be no surprise charges added on that you are not expecting. What a lot of people do not realize is that interstate moving is NOT taxed to the consumer. Fuel taxes are paid by trucking companies in the form of special assessments that are made by the government.

Hi Sue,Yes, this can be done with reasonable rates. We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport, often for the same or less money than a rental truck. Usually, the further you are moving, the more competitive we are.

Hi Linda,I saw that you filled out a quote request form on the website already. Check your email as we already sent over a moving price quote for you.

Hi Bob,If you fill out a quote form at the top of our website, a quote will be emailed to you. I would suggest calling in as well. If you have a very large home and a lot of stuff, you can get some bulk discounts for taking an entire moving van. That could save you a lot of money and give you some added benefits such as quicker transit time, shipping your car on the same moving van, etc.

Hello Eli,We got your quote request from the form at the top of this page. One of our relocation specialists will be emailing a quote to move your car and furniture shortly.

Hi Channel,We can give you some ballpark figures for moves that far in advance. Obviously, there are a lot of things that can change in that amount of time, but we can certainly give you an idea of what to expect when you are moving.

Hi Adam,We do have moving truck service to Bend, Oregon. As long as we service your origin, we should be able to help you with this move. .

Hello Ina,I have forwarded your request to one of our relocation specialists who will be contacting you for more information. To get you a rate for a moving truck, we will need to know the dimensions on the storage unit and how tightly it is packed. Thank you for your request!

Hi Christy,We have already emailed pricing for this move to you. We can move as little as 4ft of space on the moving vans, so we can accommodate just about any size shipment at a good price.

Hi Saundra,We are not able to give out moving quotes in the open forum, however, if you fill out the form at the top of this page we will email a quote to you in about 10 minutes. Thank you!

Hi Billy,Pricing for extra space on the moving truck varies with where you are going from and to. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists can quickly assist you with this information.MovingPlace.

If you use more space than you were quoted, you will be charged the same price per foot for the overage. For example, if you order 12ft for $1200 on the moving truck and use 13ft, your new price would be $1300.It is actually more inexpensive to order the space on the moving truck in advance (the extra foot may only be $50 in advance), but it is your option whether or not you are going to take more feet and you know exactly what you are going to pay if you go over. Please remember that if you order 12ft and are the last person to load onto the moving van, you may only have 12ft available when the van arrives, so be sure to order a little extra space on the moving truck just in case

Our self service moving (you load, we drive) would be perfect for you. Your moving cost is determined by the amount of space that you use on the moving truck. There are moving walls inside each of the moving vans that can be adjusted to securely handle any size shipment from 6ft all the way up to a full tractor trailer move.

Not only can save you money, we have a lowest price move guarantee. We are so certain that we are offering the best service at the lowest price that we will beat any competitor’s quote by $50. So do your shopping and finish at ! (Competitive quote must be for You Load Moving on a moving van from a company with a BBB rating of B+ or better. Crated shipments or freight shipments are not eligible for the moving van price match).

Jacqueline,Please fill out our moving quote form at the top of this page. A price for your move will be generated and emailed to you. Or you can call us for a quick quote at 904-849-3882.

Paul,We received your request. Please check your email. A price for our You Load, We Drive service will be emailed shortly. Thanks!

Debi,We will email you a quote for long distance moving if you fill out the quote form at the top of this page. Or you can call us at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists will assist you right away. Thanks!

Please full out the quote form or give us a call at 800-876-6839. We also need to know the origin and destination cities in order to give you a price for your long distance moving truck. Thanks!

The cost to move your car with your furniture depends on whether you want to move your car on the same moving truck or hire an auto transporter. If you go with the first option, the moving company will put your car on the same moving van as your furniture. This is a little bit more expensive, but is a lot more convenient. If you use an auto transport company, you will save a couple of hundred dollars, but your car will move independently from the rest of your household goods and could end up taking a couple more weeks to transport if you are moving long distance (cross-country).If you fill out our moving quote form, you will get great pricing.

If you fill out the moving quote form at the top of this page, our moving company partners will email you guaranteed moving quotes.

John,Yes, we have moving companies that will provide both a full service moving quote and and a self service moving quote to you. If you fill out the form on the top of this page, you will have prices for both moving services emailed to you in about 5 minutes.

We will need a more information to help you with a moving cost. Please fill out the form at the top of this page and we will have our moving company partners email you some prices.

We have forwarded your email to a couple of our california movers so that they can send you some excellent moving prices. If you are a customer reading this post, please fill out the form at the top of this page. That information will allow us to get you accurate quotes within the hour.

Merle,Yes, you can move your car and furniture on the same moving van. You would load your funiture into its own compartment on the moving van. The driver will put up a wall between your car and the furniture. Usually, they will have a flatbed wrecker come out to load your car onto the moving van as driving it up the loading ramps, while do-able, is not for the faint of heart. All of your stuff will arrive at the same time at your destination. It is the easiest way to move and, in most circumstances, the cheapest way to rent space on a moving truck.

Alfredo,We work with both out of state movers and local movers. If you fill out the moving quote form on the right hand side of this page, the appropriate moving companies will contact you via email with a moving quote.

Camilla,Yes! We have moving companies that are based in Seattle that move people to Florida. Those movers often have empty space on their moving vans going back to Washington. If you fill out the moving quote request form on our site, we will make sure that both Florida and Washington State movers get the request. Make sure that you put the correct moving date on your quote request. The movers that have a moving truck that matches your loading date will be the ones that will give you the best prices.

You are in the right place! If you fill out our moving quote request form on the right hand side of this page, quality moving companies will email you the best moving rates available!

Moving Truck Services Questions

We have full 53 foot tractor trailers available if needed. We can move multiple trucks for one shipment also if you need it.

Hi Jennifer,We primarily provide moving truck transport services. We do have storage available, but not long term storage. We have discounted rates for the first two months of storage. After that, the rates are higher.

Hey Steve,We get this question a lot. The smallest moving truck that we provide is 28 feet long. We can generally get in and out of apartment complexes with that unit. There are a couple of ways to handle loading in limited access locations. With the small amount of stuff that you have to move, I would recommend a “live load”. A live load means that the driver will wait while you load. There is generally one hour free and an hourly charge for each additional hour that he waits.Or, if you need several hours, you may be able to do a “same day drop and pick”. This is where the driver drops the truck in the morning and picks it up in the afternoon. Charges for this vary by location, so it would be best to call us at 800-876-6839 to see which would be the easiest and most economical way for you to move.

Hi Vicki,The only way to get direct service would be to rent an entire 53 foot tractor trailer with a dedicated driver. We have that type of moving truck service available, but it is very expensive. Our standard transit time from Temecula to Boise would be approximately 3-4 days.

Hi Lynn,We can certainly get a moving truck for you for this long distance move. If you will fill out the quote form at the top of this page, we will quickly email and text you rates for your move.

Hi Maria,We do not have moving truck service to Canada at this time. Coming soon!

Hi Gregory,We are a long distance transportation company only. We do not have local trucks for rent.

Hi Jose,We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport on moving vans/tractor trailers. Unfortunately, we cannot rent our equipment for other drivers to pull.

Hi Sophia,We use 28 foot pup trailers as well as 53 foot tractor trailers for moving. Most storage facilities can handle the pup trailers. You should ask the management to make sure that we have a place to park for you to load your moving van.

Hi Randy,We generally drop off the trailer in the street or in your driveway. The tractor leaves and comes back the next day (or days) to pick up the loaded trailer. The empty trailer is not an issue for most driveways, but a loaded trailer can be quite heavy. It is at your discretion as to whether or not we put it in your driveway or on the street.

Hi Dan,We could bring in a 28 foot moving truck for your move. We have those specifically for the situations where a 53 foot tractor trailer is not allowed. We break the moving trucks down into smaller compartments using movable walls (bulkheads), so you can get the right amount of space for your move without paying for the entire truck.

Hi Michelle,The moving trucks that we use are tractor trailers. They are the smaller, 28 foot pup trailers, so they will go into most housing subdivisions and apartment complexes. We drop the trailer portion at the house for you to load. So, it cannot be moved. We have a couple of ways to work around situations like this. We can do a live load, where the driver pulls up in front of your home and waits while you load. Or, we can do a same day drop off and pick up.. where we bring the moving truck out in the morning and take it back out that afternoon. We would need to get on a call and assess your situation to help pick which one may be the best for your move.

The moving trucks are 8.5 feet wide and 9 feet tall inside. The variable is how much space you are using in length. So, if we quoted you 8 feet of space on a moving van, that means that you have 8 feet of length (using the full 8.5 feet of width and 9 feet of height in that 8 feet of length). If you are still not understanding the size of the moving trucks, please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we will try to better explain it.Thanks!

Hi Nancy,We use 28ft trucks for most orders. These moving trucks usually do not have any problem navigating parking lots. You will need to check with your apartment complex management to find out where we can park the truck. They usually will have instructions for your on where and how long they allow parking. Please let us know those instructions when you book your move and we will have the driver work with you to get the moving truck parked in the appropriate place.

The moving trucks that we utilize are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall inside. So each linear foot has 76.5 cubic feet of space. The 28ft trucks are 2142 cubic feet inside and the 53ft trucks are 4054 cubic feet inside. So, our 28ft truck has a capacity that is 20% greater than that of the 26ft Uhaul.

Hi Stephanie,When you only have plastic tubs and/or boxes to ship and a car to move, we recommend letting us ship the car and then send the rest of the stuff via UPS. It is cheaper to ship boxes in the UPS system rather than try to put them on a moving van.

Hi Stephanie,The size of the moving truck that you will need depends on what the “lot of other stuff” is in your move. If it is a 3 car garage full of stuff that you cannot fit a car in, you should probably get pricing for a full 53ft moving van. If it is a couple of outdoor furniture pieces, you might be able to go with 24ft of space on one of the moving trucks. If you will give our office a call at 800-876-6839, we will help you make a good choice for your shipment size and get good pricing for your move as well. Thanks!

Hi Stacy,The smallest moving truck that we use is 28ft long, but it is still possible to do a same day load in some areas of Brooklyn with that sized vehicle. We will need to check your address and see if it is serviceable. The best way to do that is to call our office to check. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Tira,You have come to the right place! We can handle any size shipment, large or small. This time of year is especially busy for young adults and college moves. Please fill out our quote request form and one of our reps will email you the best price that we have available. Looking forward to working with you.

Hi Sean,We also have 28ft moving trucks available. If you have a parking issue with the big tractor-trailer, we could bring you a 28ft moving truck and, once you are done loading that, bring out another one for anything that is left. For the second moving van, you would only pay for the actual space that was used for the move. Looking forward to serving you!

We actually use moving trucks and separate those trucks into smaller compartments using bulkhead walls. Our moving trucks can accommodate any size shipment from as small as 4ft x8ft up to exclusive use of an entire 53ft tractor trailer. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and one of our relocation specialists can help you with determining the best size to reserve.

Hi Larry,The moving trucks are 8ft wide, 9ft tall, and 28ft long. You will need approximately 3 parking spaces for us to safely park the moving van.

Hi Sean,All of the moving trucks are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall. It appears that your hottub is going to be too large to fit on a standard moving truck. That is going to have to be transported on a flatbed or open trailer due to its dimensions.

We have two sizes of long distance moving trucks that we utilize. Both of the options are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall inside. The trucks come in two lengths, 28ft and 53ft. If you are moving from a place with limited access, such as apartment complexes or narrow streets, we will make sure to arrange for a 28ft moving truck instead of the 53ft moving truck. Be sure to let your relocation specialist know when you are setting up your move that you have limited access.Making Moving Easier

Hi Sara,The moving trucks that we use are 8.3ft wide and 9ft tall inside. This has considerably more volume than a Uhaul. 13ft of space on one of our moving trucks would be almost identical in size to the 17ft Uhaul.

Hi Peg,Yes, we have several different options to piggyback your move with another shipment on the moving van. Each shipment gets an individual compartment so your goods arrive safely and securely at destination. We can handle moves as small as a few pieces or as large as an entire tractor trailer.

Hi Jeff,We have two moving truck sizes, 28ft and 53ft. We can break those moving vans down into compartments as small as 4ft long (by 8ft wide x 9ft tall). So we can really accommodate just about any sized shipment.

Yes John,That being said, we have moving trucks as small as 28ft. That is just 2 feet longer than a uhaul truck. You may want to call us and let us look up your street on google maps. We may be able to save you a lot of trouble by bringing the moving truck right to your home.MovingPlace

Hi Irwin,We have received your moving quote request and have emailed it to you. Our prices are all-inclusive, no surprises. The moving trucks that we use are 28ft long, 8.5ft wide, and 9ft tall. It takes about 3 parking spaces to handle a moving truck of this size in an apartment complex.

Each of the moving trucks is a full-sized moving van. They are 53′ long and are 8.5ft wide by 9ft high (interior dimensions).

Since we use moving vans and not freight trucks, the space that you reserve is the amount you get for your your move. There are freight companies that offer self pack “moving” that will reduce for space not used. Remember though, that they are going to take your household goods on the freight van to a freight terminal where they will use a forklift to load all manner of common shipping goods next to your household items. It is not a very attractive trade-off as more handling allows more opportunity for damages. We guarantee a fixed price for a fixed amount of space on the best quality equipment and the right equipment for moving household goods.

Kristin,The moving vans are standard length, which is 53ft long. Generally, they will need to be parked on the street in front of your home. The interior dimensions are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall. Our prices are all-inclusive, meaning fuel, driver, moving equipment, truck, and door-to-door transport are all included.MP admin

Joanie,We can help you with long distance moving trucks that are 28ft long. We use these smaller moving vans when required to get in and out of residential areas and storage facilities that cannot handle the larger moving vans. Please make sure that you specify that you will need to rent space on the smaller moving van so that your representative orders the right sized truck. Thanks!

MovingPlace verses Competition Questions

Good questions, Jeff. The best place to check is the Better Business Bureau. You will see that we have an A rating and have had zero complaints in the last 12 months. Customers have also given us reviews there that are verified by the BBB. As for our licensing and bond, you can check that out at safersys.org. That is the official website of the Department of Transportation. Our license number is MC807665.

Hi Andrea,There are a couple of really good loading and unloading services that will help with our moving trucks. We recommend HireAHelper.com. They have coverage in most major cities and a lot of our customers have had good results using them to load/unload our moving vans.

Hi Daren,We are a self-service mover. We bring the moving truck out to your home. You load it. We transport it to the destination where you unload it. We also are a state to state mover only. We recommend that you call a local mover in your area that specializes in small moves like this. Thanks!

We actually use moving trucks instead of pods. And yes, we only perform moves from state to state, so you have reached the right place! Please fill out the quote form and we will email over pricing for your move.

a

We used the MovingPlace to transport our household goods from Tampa, Florida to a suburb of Chicago. We were very pleased with the service and they performed exactly as promised. Rachel and Chris were very helpful and answered my calls and emails promptly before, during and after the move. They were very knowledgeable, accurate and very responsive. We contracted for a total of 36 feet on two trailers. The trailers were dropped off, picked up, delivered to Illinois and once empty, picked up on the dates and within the timeframe they told us up-front. We relied on previous experience from a prior move, an online, detailed space estimator and quotes from 2 local movers regarding how much space we required and that’s how it turned out. There is no value in underestimating the space you need, to try to get a lower price, because they will charge you for the actual space you move. That’s only fair.Unless you are a minimalist, there is no way you can fit a four bedroom home in a 26 ft. rental truck. If you try, you will have a very unpleasant surprise come moving day. The cost of renting two rental trucks plus fuel was actually a bit higher than the cost of the MovingPlace. Driving two moving vans and two passenger cars 1200 miles would have been a lot more involved, time consuming and fatiguing than just driving two cars. Read your pre-move instructions provided by Movingplace thoroughly. Understanding the process and heeding their advice will make your move go much smoother. Moving this way is more complicated than using a full service mover, but the cost savings is amazing. Including local movers to wrap, load, unload, buying moving blankets on Craig’s List and ratchet strap, tie-downs at Home Depot, our total costs were just 39% of the cost of a full service mover. Therefore, I would highly recommend using the MovingPlace.

Thank you for the comments Rich. We really appreciate the feedback.Stu, Chris, and the Team.

Hi Mary,Most of the moving trucks that we use are 28ft long, 8.5ft wide, and 9ft tall (inside dimensions). We can get you as much space as you need on one of those trucks by using a bulkhead (wall) to make a private compartment for you on that moving truck. So we can accommodate any sized shipment, large or small. If you need more than 28ft, we can get you a second truck or we can rent you an entire 53ft moving van.Moving Place Web Team

Hello Paul,We do not have driver services like this. We actually provide the moving truck, driver, fuel, and door-to-door service. If you compare our pricing to what you are paying for a Uhaul only, you may be surprised that often we are cheaper than Uhaul while providing a lot more service.

Hi Richard,We saw that you put a request in using our moving quote generator. A moving specialist is reviewing this and will email you prices shortly. Our moving truck rental service is an excellent alternative to PODS.Moving Place

Hi Michael,Because we use moving trucks and not PODS containers, we can take the trucks to much more remote locations. Yes, we service Boone directly. If you fill out the quote form on this page, we will email you a quick price quote. Or you can call us on our 800 number and we will help you right away.Thank you!Moving Place

Other than from being less expensive, Pods is a container moving service and is a moving service provided on long distance moving trucks. Pods brings out a container and leaves it in your driveway where you load it. They then put it on a flatbed and haul it to the destination. arranges a professional moving van equipped with furniture blankets, loading ramps, tie down straps, and a dolly. You load it. We transport the moving truck to the destination where you unload it.The major difference between PODS and is the air-ride moving vans providing a better ride for your furniture and you having all of the equipment to properly wrap and pad all of your stuff. Having the proper equipment for your long distance move is the key to success.

Yes Randall, we have both 53′ moving trucks and 28′ moving trucks available. The 53′ vans all are equipped with loading ramps, furniture blankets, and tie-down straps, giving you the best equipment available for large moves.

Melissa,When you fill out the online moving quote form, you will see a dropdown menu to select the size of your move. You will see the number of bedrooms and next to some of the sizes you will see the word PLUS. Plus means that you are moving a home with that many bedrooms plus a car. Selecting this lets our moving companies know that you are moving a car as well.

Pod Moving Containers Questions

Hi Meredith,This is exactly what we do. We would bring a moving truck to your storage facility where you would load it. We would transport it to Denver and put it in front of your new home where you would unload it.

Hi Jill,Our smallest moving container is 4ftx4ftx7ft. That might not be large enough. I would recommend getting a 4ft shipment on a moving van (so the width would be 8.5ft wide and the height woudl be 9 feet). That way, everything will fit. As for the car, we will ship the car on an auto transporter (the big trucks that haul 7 or 8 cars at a time). If you fill out the quote request form, we will email you pricing for all of this. Or, for faster service, please call us at 800-876-6839.

Hi Kimberlee,The car has to be empty when it is shipped on one of the auto transport trucks. For the boxes and furniture, we can get you a small space on a moving van, or, if it will fit, we can provide you one of our moving containers that we would ship separately at a reduced cost.

Hi Cathy,We can provide a moving truck for you to load. We will drive it to the destination where you unload. We do have service in your areas. While similar in many ways, we are not related to PODS and, as mentioned, actually provide you self-service moving on moving trucks.

Hi Maria,We are not a pods affiliate. We can bring a moving truck to your home and give you a private compartment in that truck. Oftentimes our pricing is significantly cheaper than PODS due to the fact that you only pay for the space that you order on the truck. If you need additional space, you have a per foot rate that you can pay for the extra space on loading day (you don’t have to order a whole new truck or a whole second “pod” to finish your shipment). The cheapest way to ship cars is to put them on an auto transporter. We can certainly help you with that as well.

Hi Schalisa,We don’t put prices on our Q&A because every move is different. Where are you moving from and to? How much space do you need? We have containerized moving options as well as moving truck services. If you fill out our quote form at the top of this page or give us a call at 800-876-6839, we would be happy to email pricing to you.

Hi Stacey,We do have containerized moving available. We are not a pods affiliate. We can bring either a moving truck or a moving container to your home where you would have up to 3 days to load it. We would transport it to the new location where you would have up to 3 days to unload it. If we use a moving truck for your move rather than a moving container, you have the option of using more space on the truck if you need it. If using a pods-type moving container, you would have to order a second unit if you ran out of space.

Self Service Moving Questions

Hi Miguel,The best idea would be to get a space on a moving truck that is large enough to fit the motorcycle and other items. The self service moving trucks have ramps and you can just drive the motorcycle right up the ramps. There are place inside the truck to secure your goods every 16 inches. Get some heavy straps and you can secure the motorcycle. That will be the cheapest and best way to move what you are moving.

Hi Brianna,Self service moving is easy. We bring a truck out to your home for you to load (we can usually leave the moving truck for up to 3 days, or over a weekend at no additional charge). You load it. We will transport the moving truck to the destination where you will have up to 3 days to unload it. We charge based on the amount of space that you use on the truck, not the weight, so you will not have any surprises for billing). If you fill out our quote form on this page or give us a call at 800-876-6839, we can help you with pricing. Thanks!

Hi Chris,Since we are a self service mover and you are providing the loading and unloading, coverage is going to be limited to catastrophic events, such as a truck accident, fire, etc. If you have a renter’s policy, you are more than likely already covered for this. If you do not have any coverage, please give us a call. Depending on where you are moving from and to, we will have some options available for you at a very reasonable price.

Hi Roy,For self-service (you load, we drive) moves, we provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We do not have drivers that will drive other peoples’ rented trucks. We do not have service to Alaska at this time, but should by the end of the summer. Thanks!

Hi Carline,For self service moving, we can work with you to arrange delivery on a specified day. We would need you to call our office at 800-876-6839 and speak to one of our relocation specialists so that we can work that out figuring in the size of shipment, car, etc.

Hi Chris,Self service moving is different from full service in that we charge by the amount of space that is used on the moving truck, not the weight of the shipment. This takes most of the guesswork out of your pricing. We feel that as a consumer, it is darn near impossible to figure out how much your shipment weighs and can set you up for a nasty pricing surprise. But, you can measure out how much space you are ordering and know in advance whether or not the stuff that you are moving will fit in that space. Give us a call and we can help you figure out how much space you may need for your self service move at 800-876-6839.

Hi Jose,All of our moves are self service, meaning that we provide the moving truck, driver, and door to door service. The customer provides the loading and unloading. I see that you already filled out one of our quote forms with your contact information, so I will email over a self service moving quote to you now.

Hi Rosa,We can certainly help you with a self-service move to Idaho. The 26ft uhaul truck is not as wide nor as high as one of our moving trucks. For comparable space, you would need to order 22 feet of space on one of our moving vans (they are 8.5 feet wide and 9 feet tall). Transit time from California to Idaho is going to be approximately 3 days. We would need to look at when you want to move to be able to determine the best days for loading and unloading. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we can narrow down the details. Thanks!

Hi Corey,You have come to the right place. We can do a self service move for your furniture (where you load and unload and we do everything else). For moving your car, there really is not a self service moving option. The driver will load, unload, and secure your car for you on an auto transporter. If you fill out our quote form, put the make and model of your car in the comments section so our representatives will know to price the car for you. Thanks!

Hi Janet,Self service moving is what we do! We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport for your self service move. You provide the loading and unloading.

Hi Angela,For one of our self service moves from PA to California, you can expect about 6 business days for the moving truck to travel across the country.

Hi Sarah,One of the biggest benefits of moving this way is that you pay for the space used, not how much the stuff weighs. You know exactly how much space that you have on the moving truck and you know exactly how much that it will cost. If you need extra space, you know right up front how much each extra foot of space will cost… there are not surprises.

Hi Kelly,We can normally give you up to 3 business days to load and 3 business days to unload. We can also have you load the truck over the weekend at no additional charge.

Hi Gloria,Yes, our moving trucks are 28ft long and can deliver to most storage facilities. You should call the facility first to confirm that a moving van of that size can fit and has a place to park.

Hi Brinley,Yes, we have the ability to bring the moving truck to your home in the morning and pick it back up later that afternoon when you are finished unloading. If you have a small shipment, we can also do a “live unload” where the driver waits while you unload and then leaves as soon as you are finished.

Hi Melissa,We are a long distance company only. We do not do moves within the same state.

Hi Lori,Yes, we have service to some very remote places. If you fill out the quote form at the top of this page, we can put some options together for you and email them over. Thanks!

Hi Susan,For self service moving, where you load and unload the truck, there are areas of Chicago where there is no parking allowed on the street. The way around that issue is to do a “live load” or “live unload”. That simply means that the driver is going to wait with the moving truck while you load or unload. So, if the truck has to be moved in mid-load, it can be moved. So the real issue is parking, not any goofy Chicago law. If you will give us a call at 800-876-6839, we can work with you to get pricing for your move and figure out the logistics of getting a moving truck to your daughter in Chicago. In the event that even a live load is not available, the next option would be to pick the furniture up at the shipping terminal in Chicago with a smaller truck. Even then, you have the issue of parking that moving truck when you are unloading… Chicago can be interesting!

Hi Don,We can only move things on moving trucks that are arranged by us. We do not haul or move equipment or trucks from other providers.

Hi Nick,We would be happy to help you with a quote for your move. Do you need commercial freight service or are you moving household goods? Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 as there are many variables that will affect the rate. We should discuss them to make sure you are getting the right service at the right price. Thanks!

Hi Debra,We don’t actually bring out a “POD”. We bring out a moving truck. And yes, you can certainly put your motorcycle on the truck with your household goods. There are places every 18 inches in the truck where you can strap and secure things as well,

Hi Christopher,To get a price for your self-service move, please fill out the quote form on the right hand side of this page. Our customer service team will promptly email you a moving quote.

Hi Tiffany,Yes, we can hold your shipment on the moving truck at our destination terminal until you are ready to receive it. Storage charges depend on where and how long you need us to hold the moving truck with your furniture on it.

Hi Ramya,I see where you already submitted the quote form to move your car and furniture. One of our relocation specialists has already sent you an email with the prices for your move.

Hi Pankaj,We can help you with that move. I see that you submitted the request on our website for a moving quote. We will send you an email with some pricing. If you need immediate assistance, please feel free to call our relocation specialists at 800-876-6839.

Hi Alex,We can certainly handle business and commercial moves. We will need more information (will there be a loading dock, are there specific transit times, will you need exclusive use of a 28ft moving truck or a 53ft moving van).If you will please call our office at 800-876-6839, one of our relocation specialists will be happy to assist you.

Hi Joe,Yes, we do have storage available. We can store by the day or store by the month. Please call our office for pricing and information.

Hi Darcy,Yes, you can transport your wood flooring on one of the moving trucks. You still need to load it and unload it like you would with a self-service move.

Yes, we can do a self service move (you load, we drive) to just about any location in the “Lower 48”. If you fill out the quote form, we will promptly email or text a quote to you.

Hi Arlene,We can give you up to three days to load and 3 days to unload the moving truck. That loading and unloading can take place over a weekend at no additional charge. Please ask your representative for more information. They can help you accommodate just about and moving schedule.

Hi Fauzan,We are a long distance transportation provider. We do not have the capacity to service local moves at this time. Thanks!

Hi Roger,We have a lot of different options for moving and storage. We can certainly help you with your move to Minnesota.

Hi Cheryl,The moving trucks generally travel about 500 miles per business day. If that transit is too quick, no worries, we have options to hold the shipment at our destination terminal for a few days and can then deliver it to your new home when you arrive.

Hi Zen, We are similar to portable storage, except we use moving vans for the transportation instead of those big plastic containers. You will get a much smoother transfer of your goods on a moving truck because your stuff is not jostled around being picked up and loaded on flatbed trucks (like it is with storage containers). We saw that you filled out a quote request on the website and have emailed a price quote to you. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!MovingPlace web team

Hi Bob,We can certainly help you with a move from Miami to New York. We service most points in the lower 48 states.

As a self-service mover, we would bring the moving truck to your location. You load it. We would then take the truck to your destination where you unload it. Our costs will be a comparable to Uhaul, Penske, or Ryder moving truck rentals, but we will offering a lot more service for the money.

Hi Sarah,We can make extra pick ups and deliveries when you have rented the entire moving truck. It sounds like your shipment would qualify for that. If you have not already, please fill out the moving quote form at the top of this page. Note in the comments that you have an extra pickup in MN so our relocation specialist can include that in your pricing. Thanks!

Hi Billy,For most moves, we can provide up to 7 days of storage at destination at no additional charge. After that, there is a daily and monthly storage rate that will apply. Please call us at 800-876-6839 and we can discuss options for you.

No problem Ron. You can leave the shipment on the moving truck and we will store it at the secure shipping terminal in Orlando. Your goods will not be moved or handled in any way so you have the peace of mind of knowing that everything will be safe.

Yes Vic, we provide self service moving on a nationwide basis. We can handle small shipments all the way up to full moving trucks. We bring the truck out to your home. You load it. We drive it to the destination where you unload it. Our service is the most economical and convenient way to move cross country.

Hi Rob,The best way to get a quote for a self service move is to fill out the moving quote form at the top of this page. We are service providers and will quickly email you pricing for your move. When moving a car with your furniture, please put the make and model of the car to be moved in the comments section.Thank you!

Yes! We service “direct” almost every point in the contiguous United States. We can provide long distance moving trucks 5 days a week in almost every major market (and most smaller markets as well!). If you fill out our quote form, one of our relocation specialists will promptly email you a quote for your move.

Yes Bill, we can store your goods on the moving truck for up to 5 days at no additional charge. Daily and monthly storage is available after that. Please ask your relocation specialist for details when making reservations for your move.

Shared Moving Trucks Questions

Hi Brandon,Any shipment that is not ordering the entire moving van is going to be on a shared moving truck. Let me clarify that though. We only put one household shipment on each 28 foot truck. The truck is empty when it comes to you. You will load your stuff up against the front wall and work your way back until you are finished loading. Then, a bulkhead wall goes up to separate your stuff into a “private compartment” in the front of the truck. We take the moving truck to a nearby freight terminal where we put boxed and crated freight on the back of it to fill it up. We do this so that your household items are never left unattended and don’t sit in front of someone else’s home. So all of our moving vans are, in effect, shared moving trucks, but you are not sharing with another household.

Yes Kaya,We can get you pricing for that amount of space on a shared moving truck. We see that you have filled out the quote request form. We will be emailing pricing shortly.

Yes Christopher,We can move your motorcycle and two bedroom apartment on the same moving van. We will get you a private compartment on a shared moving truck. That will give you the best pricing with the most secure way of moving.

Hi Ethel,Unless you order the entire moving truck, all of our moves are on a shared moving truck. When the truck comes to your home, it will be empty. You will load right up against the front wall of the truck. Once you are done loading, a bulkhead wall goes up to separate your goods into their own compartment. We have the truck taken to the local trucking terminal where boxed and crated commercial freight will fill out the the rest of the truck. We never leave your goods unattended in front of another customer’s home!We need about a week’s notice to be able to schedule a move on a shared moving truck. If you want to rent a whole tractor trailer, we can usually do that with 3 day’s notice.

Hi Fazilla,I see that you filled out one of our quote request forms, so you should already have a quote for this emailed to you with information about how it works, etc. Please let us know if we can help with anything else. You can either respond to the email that we sent you with pricing or, our phone number is 800-876-6839.Thanks!

Hi Kimberly,I see that you filled out our quote request form as well. You should have already gotten an email with the pricing for a shared moving truck. Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can help in any way. Thanks! 800-876-6839

Hi Margaret,Yes we can help her on one of our shared moving trucks for a very competitive rate. If you have not already, please fill out our quote form and we will email pricing to you for a couple of different size options that we have for the shared truck program. She will get a private compartment, so you don’t have to worry about her stuff getting mixed up or lost.

Hi Carole,You would have some space left over on a 4ft x 8ft section on our shared moving truck, but that still might work for your small shipment. I see that you filled out a quote request on the website. We will email pricing for that small shipment. Thanks!

Hi Chris,It will take about 6 days for us to move your stuff from Indiana to Arizona. We can work out dates so that you know when to anticipate arrival of the moving van at both origin and destination. Unless you are renting the entire truck, all of our shipments are on shared moving vans. However, we normally only do one household goods shipment on each moving truck. Here is how it works… The truck is empty when we bring it to your home. You load your stuff up against the front wall of the moving van and work your way back. When you are done loading, a bulkhead wall goes up to separate your stuff from anything else that we load. We take the truck back to a local freight terminal and load boxed and crated goods on the back to fill out the rest of the space, hence your “shared moving truck”. Once we have a household shipment on board, your goods stay in our carrier’s possession and are not left anywhere unattended (ie. at another customer’s home).

Hi Karen,We can make you the first load on the moving truck. We would bring the truck to you and you would load all of your stuff into the “nose” of the trailer (against the front wall). A bulkhead wall then separates all of your items into the front of the truck. We will then load commercial goods, boxed and crated freight, into the back part of the trailer to offset the cost of your move. In essence, all of our moves are on shared moving trucks unless you rent the entire van as an “exclusive use” unit.

Hi Vicki,We have shared moving trucks leaving Massachusetts every week. We just need to work out the amount of space you will need on the moving van and when the truck would be available to load on your week. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we will work out pricing and timing with you. Thanks!

Hi Nancy,Our service provides the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We would not be able to provide all of that at a cost that is less than Uhaul. That being said, we probably won’t be a whole lot more. When using a shared moving truck, we will be very competitively priced.

Hi Holly,We can certainly help you with a shared moving truck. Each customer gets a private compartment, so there is never any mingling of goods. Also, the moving truck is never left unattended with anyone’s stuff on it. Please type “shared moving truck” in the comments section of the quote form and one of our representatives will email some pricing to you.

Hi Leslie,We can certainly put you on one our shared moving trucks where you get your own compartment and the rest of the moving truck is filled with commercial freight (boxed and crated goods). Please put “shared moving truck” in the comments section of the quote request form, or give us a call at 800-876-6839 for immediate pricing. Thanks!

Hello Hazel,It should take about 6 business days to move your furniture from New York to Arizona. For our standard service, the moving truck is brought to your home empty. You load up against the front wall of the truck and work your way back. Once you are done, a bulkhead wall goes up that blocks your stuff into the front of the moving van. We then take it to a freight terminal and finish filling the truck with boxed and crated freight… so, there is generally only one household moving customer per truck. We do not remove your goods from the truck and your stuff is never left unattended in a place where someone could access your goods. It is a very safe way to move.

Hi Gloria,This would be a good move for our shared moving truck service. If you will fill out our quote form and put “piggyback move” in the comments section, we can get pricing for you to get your own 12ft compartment on the a moving van. You would load it, the driver would take it to Virginia and put it in front of your new home where you would unload it. That should be very economical in our system. Thanks!

Hi Kimberly,You should select the “One Bedroom” size for your one bedroom apartment move and then add the make and model of the cars to be moved in the comments section of the quote form. We can put the furniture on a shared moving truck (you get a private compartment on it) and the cars on an auto transporter to save you some money Of course, you can also call us at 800-876-6839 and we can give you a quote instantly over the phone. Thanks!

Hi Christa,That is, in essence, what we do. We bring a moving truck out to your home. You have a private compartment in which to load. We then take that moving truck to a freight terminal and load boxed freight onto the rest of the truck, that way, we are never leaving your household goods unattended in front of someone else’s house. When we get to the destination, we drop the boxes at the local freight depot and bring the moving van to your home for you to unload. We never leave your household goods unattended and we do not move the stuff around inside the trucks. It stays right where you load it until you take it off at destination.

Hi Wolfgang,If you will fill out the quote form, we will email a price to you. We normally require a week’s notice to be able to provide a shared moving truck.

Hi Robert,Yes, we can handle just about any shipment, large or small. You do not have to rent an entire moving van when using our services. Using a shared truck is a great way to save money when moving. Also, each shipment on the moving trucks that we provide is in its own compartment, so you don’t have to worry about your stuff getting mixed up with anything else on the shared moving van.Thank you!

Hi Hank,We can help you with smaller shipments like this by sharing a moving truck. These “piggyback” moves will give you a much smaller space on the moving van in which to load and will save you a lot of money.

Hi Erica,You would be an ideal customer for a shared moving truck (piggyback move). We can give you a private compartment in which to load your goods. We will transport the moving truck to Miami where you will unload it. Please fill out our quote request form and put “piggyback move” in the comments section and we will put some excellent pricing together for you.

Hi Nancy,We can work your move onto a shared moving truck for a “piggyback move”. Each shipment gets a private compartment on the truck and once a household shipment is on board, it is never left unattended at another location.. so you have a safe and secure way to move a smaller shipment.

Hi Jacque,This would be a good move for a shared moving truck. We can give you the front part of a moving van. Once you load, a bulkhead wall goes up to secure your goods and separate them from anything else on the truck. We would then take the truck to our freight terminal and load boxed and crated freight on the back. The truck is never left in front of someone’s house and stays in our possession the entire time that a household shipment is on board. As for pricing for your move, please fill out our quote form or give us a call at 800-876-6839 as pricing changes with the seasons so we don’t post prices in the forum. Thanks!

Shipment Size Questions

Hi Naomi, For a move as large as yours, we would recommend a full 53 foot tractor trailer. To answer your question directly, yes, that would normally fit into a full 53 foot moving van. That is the largest size that anyone would have available. If you have too much stuff, we can get a second smaller moving truck to you for the overflow within 24 hours.

HI Diane,Our minimum shipment is a 4ft x 8ft section on a moving truck, so we would be overkill for shipping just one item. We recommend going to the UPS Store for 1 piece shipments like that. They have a method of shipping where they will put that in a huge box and ship it in their freight system. That is the best way to move small shipments like that.

Hi Ruby,Select the size for “Studio Apartment” and put the make and model of the vehicle to be shipped in the comments section of the quote form. One of our relocation specialists will put together some pricing and email it right over to you. Thanks!

Hi Richard,About the only option would be to use two 28ft trucks. We could arrange to bring one of those moving trucks one day and then swap it out with the second moving truck on the next day so that we could meet the restrictions of the smaller truck and still get a lot of stuff moved for you.

Hi Brynn,We can help you with your cars and motorcycles along with your household furniture, but we cannot help you with moving the pontoon boat.

Yes Tim. We charge based on the amount of space that you use on the moving van. Each moving truck is 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall. The variable is the length. We can quote you any size from 6ft up to 53ft.

Hi Janis,While we are much more economical when moving larger shipments, we can handle smaller ones effectively in certain busy “lanes” where we often have moving trucks. AZ to TX is an easy one for us and we should be able to help you with a decent rate on moving a few items.

Hi Teresa,Yes, we service most points in the “lower 48”. Judging by the list that you have here, your daughter would probably only need the smallest size on one of the moving trucks. The trucks are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall with the smallest length that we sell being 4 feet. If you fill out the quote request form and select the studio apartment size, one of our relocation specialists will email you a quote shortly. Thanks!

Hi Karen,We can move small shipments. Our minimum amount of space on the truck is generally 4 or 6ft (depending on the location).

Hi Marv,Our services are best-utilized for moving van shipments of furniture and boxes. If you are just shipping boxes, I would suggest contacting UPS or checking on USPS ground shipments. That will be much cheaper than renting a moving van to ship just a few boxes.

Hi Connie,If you only have a bed to ship, you may want to check out something like the UPS store. They have a service for shipping one item like that. You really need to have a room of furniture or more for us to make financial sense when ordering space on moving vans.

A good rule of thumb when you rent space on a moving truck is to figure that each furnished room will use 4 to 5ft of space on the truck. All of the moving vans are 8.3ft wide and 9ft tall inside, so the only variable is the length that you choose for your load. If you call us at 800-876-6839, one of our relocation specialists can guide you in choosing the right amount of space.

Lowell, We always suggest ordering an extra couple of feet on the moving van so that you don’t have to cram everything in. That being said, if you need more space on loading day, you can purchase it at the same per-foot rate that you paid for the rest of the space.

You Load – We Drive Moving Services Questions

Hi Melanie,We only provide driving services for moving trucks that we provide. We get this question a lot and it is impossible to insure a driver that is driving a non-DOT certified truck that is provided by a third party. The only way to find a driver to do something like that is to post it on Craig’s List. I am not so sure that I would be comfortable with that personally, but it is really the only option as no company does what you are asking.

Hi Tracy,We have options where we can leave your stuff right on the moving van and hold it at our secure terminal for up to a couple of months of storage. Our pricing is the best in the industry for moving and storage. Pls indicate when you fill out our quote form how many days of storage you might need and we will email pricing to you.

Hi Elaine,We only provide moving blankets when you rent an entire 53 foot moving van. For the smaller shipments, we currently do not provide them.We do have options for a same day drop off and pick up and we perform moves in and out of storage facilities on a daily basis, so are familiar with the challenges around moving with limited access.

Hi Tracy,We do have storage options for you, both monthly or daily. With storage, we leave the household goods right on the same moving truck on which you loaded them and hold them at the destination trucking terminal. The trailers are locked up on a secure lot and delivered back out when you are ready for them.

Hi Lesley,Yes, even though we may say “furniture”, we mean everything that would be included in a normal household move. We also can help with office/commercial, long-distance moving as well.

Hi Lisa,We service areas 5 days a week. We generally need about a 10 day notice to get you on the schedule, but we can often service a move the very next day. The best way to check availability of moving trucks is to give us a call at 800-876-6839. We can quickly give you the schedule for the next available truck and help you book it if you would like to.

Hi Brian,We have a link at the top of this page for International moving. We recommend our friends at UPakWeShip.com. They handle all of our inquiries for international moves.

Hi Elizabeth,You need to drain the fuel from any motorized vehicle going onto the moving truck. You do not have to remove the gas tank, just the gas from it.

Hi Griselda,We provide long distance moving services on moving trucks, we do not have towing services for other peoples’ trailers. Sorry!

Hi Brett,We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We do not provide drivers for other peoples’ rented trucks. We will transport your car on a large auto transporter (the big trucks that carry 7 or 8 cars at a time). As for travel timing, we can arrange to have the truck delivered on the day that you want. If there is a big delay, we can get you daily storage on the moving truck at a very affordable price.

Hi Latosha,We only do long distance moves (state to state moving).

Hi Bill,We do have storage available. We normally leave the shipment on the truck where you load it and keep it on a secured parking lot. When you are ready for your goods to be delivered, we bring the truck out and drop it off for you to unload. Storage is generally charged by the day and the rates are super inexpensive.

Hi Thamer,We do not quote prices for long distance moving on the website as they change seasonally. If you call us at 800-876-6839 or fill out the quote form on this website, we will be happy to put together some rates for our you load, we drive service and email them to you.

Hi Lydia,Yes, we can provide a truck for long distance moving for just about any location. We bring the truck to your home where you can have up to 3 days to load it. We then transport it to your new home where you have up to 3 days to unload it. If you need us to release the shipment to a friend or relative, you just need to let us know so that we can arrange to do so. Thanks!

Hi Lori,We can help you with that move. Please fill out our quote request form and one of our relocation specialists will email pricing to you right away.

Hi Tracy,We are a self-service mover and provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. Loading and unloading is not part of our service. We recommend HireAHelper.com for loading and unloading. They have good rates and a good system for following up to make sure that they are providing quality service.

Hi Bridgette,In that type of situation, we can do what is called a “Live Load”. A live load simply means that the driver is going to stay with the truck attached to the trailer while you load. Once you are finished loading, the driver will immediately leave. There are some fees associated with this service depending on where you are moving from and to. Please contact us at 800-876-6839 and we can look at your locations and help figure out pricing for your long distance move.

Hi Mike,Yes, we do have loading ramps available for you to use.

Hi Kathy,Because rates change with seasons and zip codes in areas can affect pricing, we do not put pricing for moves out on the forum. You can either give us a call or fill out the quote form on our homepage and we will be glad to put together some excellent options for your move.

Hi Diane,For most of our service levels, the moving truck comes to your home empty. It has a loading ramp and a bulkhead wall inside. You load into front (nose) of the moving van and then the wall secures your goods in the truck. There are additional places every 16 inches inside the truck to secure your items, but we do not provide the straps for that. You can purchase moving straps very cheaply at Home Depot and other big box retailers. If you are having trouble estimating the amount of space that you will need, please give us a call and we can walk you through some helpful tips on how to do that.

Yes, Andrea. That is what the industry calls a “Live Load”. The driver will wait with the moving truck while you unload and then leave. There are usually wait time charges associated with this. The first hour is free and then each additional hour that the driver waits is accrues a charge. That cost varies depending on where in the country you are moving.

Hi Clorinda,You had me until parrot! We can help you with all of your household goods, etc, but we do not move pets. To move from Chicago to Las Vegas will take about 6 business days. We are going to email a quote to the email address that you provided. We require a small deposit to guarantee your truck with the balance due at loading.

Hi Amanda,We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transport. We are not a driver service and cannot have one of our drivers drive your vehicle.

Hi Mason,We are a transportation provider only. However, if you need help either loading or unloading, we recommend HireAHelper. They have nationwide labor coverage and a good system for insuring quality of services provided.

We have storage options available for you. The storage costs vary with where you need us to store it and how long you need us to store it. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839 with the details and one of our relocation consultants will promptly help you.

Hi Karoline,Yes, we can do what is called a “live load”. That simply means that when the driver arrives with your moving truck, he will wait while you load it. As soon as you are done loading, he will leave. A lot of apartment complexes have restrictions like this, so a live load is very common. If it takes you a long time to load, some waiting charges may apply. Please call and speak with one of our relocation coordinators for pricing in your area.

Hi ShellyAnn,You can usually plan on us travelling about 500 miles per business day. So, a cross country move like yours will take approximately 6 business days.

Hi Claire,We have both short and long-term storage available. Thanks!

Hi Wendy,We can certainly help with this. I see that you have already filled out the quote form. We will email a moving quote to you in just a few minutes. Thanks!

Hi Cheryl,The answer to your question is yes, if you are going to use the whole truck and live within 500 miles of your destination. If you are sharing a moving truck or only using part of it and we are moving freight on the other part, then the transit will take an extra couple of days. It would probably be a good idea to give us a call with the particulars and we can work out a plan that works in your moving schedule.

Hi Meranda,Unfortunately, we cannot allow passengers to travel across the country. I am sorry that flying is a scary option for you. You may want to check on taking a train across the country. The pricing for transportation on a train can sometimes be very good and it is actually a pleasant trip.

Hi Ted,We do provide moving services to Rapid City, SD. We do not have a location right in Rapid City, but the moving trucks are constantly moving around the country and we can arrange to have one in Rapid City on the day that you need it. Please make sure to give us about 2 weeks notice to get you on the schedule. .com

Hi Lela,We can help you with storage in conjunction with a long distance move (we do not provide local storage only). It is best to call our service center for pricing as storage rates vary with how long you need to store and where you want your furniture stored. Please give us a call at 800-876-6839.

Hi John,We do not have moving truck service to Mexico at this time.

Hi PJ,We provide the moving truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transportation, but not the loading and unloading. At this time, we recommend using www.HireAHelper.com for the loading and/or unloading.

Hi Dan,Yes, we service most areas in the “lower 48 states”. We have excellent moving truck service from CA to AZ and should be very cost-effective for you. If you fill out the quote form, we will email or text a quote to you right away.

Hi Sky,We charge based on the amount of space that you use on the moving truck. All of the trucks are 8ft wide, 9ft tall, and either 28ft long or 53ft long (depending on your needs). Moving from Florida to Indianapolis should take about 3 business days to transport.

Hi Victor,We are a self-load moving company. That means that we will bring the moving truck out to your home. You load it. We transport the moving truck to the destination where you unload it. Our service is convenient and affordable.

Yes Brian,We specialize in servicing areas of the country that are not readily serviced by other movers. We can help with moves to all but the most remote locations in the US.

Hi Sherman,Yes, you can certainly move a motorcycle inside the moving truck with your furniture. The motorcycle can be secured using the anchors that are every 16 inches along the walls of the moving van.

Hi Lela,Yes, we can certainly help you with storage. We will ship your container or moving truck to our destination terminal and store it there until you are ready for it.

Hi Louise,We can give you extra time/days to load and unload. There are charges associated with that, but they are minimal (and vary by location). You can expect somewhere around $50 per extra day. The moving vans that are used to ship household items are not efficient in hauling cars (you can only get 1 car on each truck). If we put your car onto an auto transporter (that holds 8 other cars), we can drastically reduce the cost to ship your car. We can get your car and furniture picked up at the same time on different trucks and help you save money.

Hi Kevin,Yes, you can put your loaded trailer inside the moving truck. You will need to check the dimensions on your trailer. Our trucks are 8.5ft wide and 9ft tall inside. Give yourself some leeway when measuring the width as your wheel wells might not fit through the door frame (which shaves about 5 inches off at the door opening. We have places to secure your trailer throughout our moving truck. You will need to have a wrecker come and pick up your trailer to put it inside the moving truck as our ramps will not support the weight of it loaded.

Hi Kat,We provide the space on the moving truck for you to load and unload. How you package the items you load is up to you. Totes are a very popular choice for many of our customers. They are easier to stack and hold more than most boxes.

Hi Christine,That is exactly what we do. We are a transportation provider. We bring a moving truck out to your home, you load it (or have someone else load it), we take it to the destination where you unload it. We provide the truck, fuel, driver, and door to door transportation.

Hi Phil,When moving from a location that has limited or no parking, we can perform a live load – that is, the driver stays with the truck in front of your home while you load it and then leaves when you are done loading. There are some fees associated with this service depending on where you are located. Please call us at 800-876-6839 and we will work up a price for you over the phone.

Hi Katey,You do not need to provide a lock for the moving trucks. Each shipment on board the moving van is separated from the other loads on the truck by a bulkhead. That serves as a security divider between your goods and any other shipment. Please note that once we have a household goods shipment on board a long distance moving truck, that truck will not be left unattended in front of another customer’s home. So you are safe and secure when moving with .

Hi Ashley,It is going to take about a week for us to transport the moving truck from MA to CA. There will be some variations to that based on how large your shipment is. To narrow that down, please give us a call at 800-876-6839 and we can work with you to meet your schedule. Thanks!MovingPlace

Paula,If you are just shipping boxes (and a trunk), the most economical way to do that would be through UPS. We are more of a household shipper. If you have less than a Studio apartment of furniture, we will be offering too much truck at too high of a price to make economical sense.

Hi Laurie,We are going to need some more information to provide you an accurate estimate (how much furniture you are moving, appliances, etc..). There will not be much difference in rates for moving from Bothell, WA to either Victorville, CA or Buena Park, CA as they are about the same mileage to each destination. We do have short and medium term storage options available for your move. If you need long-term storage, we would suggest putting your items in a storage facility rather than leaving them on the moving truck. And yes, a motorcycle can go inside the moving van with your other furniture and boxes.

Hi Nancy,This will take approximately 3 days.

Yes Beverly, we can bring the moving trucks to storage facilities. You should check with the facility manager prior to our arrival as they generally have a designated place that they would like moving trucks to park. Make sure to reserve that space so that you have a place for us to park and don’t have that “panic moment” on moving day of trying to find an alternative place to park.

Hi Jim,We have several options for storage available. Please ask your relocation specialist for details on what will work best for your moving needs.

We have options for both. You can have as many as 3 business days for the moving truck to be loaded at your house. Weekends are free days, so you can have up to 5 total days in which to load your moving van. There are a couple of restrictions to this based on service area and the type of moving van being ordered. Please call a relocation specialist at 800-876-6839 to get more information specific to your situation.MovingPlace web team

Yes Penny! That is what we do. We bring a truck out to your home. You load it. We transport it to your new home where you unload it. Hi Nell,We bring the moving truck to your home empty. Once you load your stuff into it, we put up a bulkhead wall that a. secures your goods in the front of the truck and b. separates your goods from the other items we will load on the truck to “fill it out” for transit. Once your shipment is on board, the truck stays in the carrier’s possession. It is never loaded or unloaded or left at another location. We have never had a theft claim in the history of . Web Team

We can certainly handle your move in or out of Las Vegas. Because the driver stays with the moving truck during our moves, we can handle pickups and deliveries to storage facilities.
