My review of hired helper is a dispute about how many hours worked. Hired Helper said mover wanted funds released then said they wanted another additional hour then was agreed upon but never discussed with me by the movers! I tried to contact Bryce the owner who was on the job. Never got an answer back. I was second job he had that day. Two were a little late then Bryce said he ran out of tie downs he said he was bringing so he went to buy some. The mover came in and tripped almost falling he broke a wooden large tray. I said that was okay just throw it away, are you hurt? He was bleeding on his forearm. I think he was hurting from the cut is why he tripped on tray and almost fell. I got bandaids and gauze patch. They went outside then came back with gauze patch shrink wrapped to hold it on. They fast then closed pod and locked my garage. Owner Bryce told me taking him to hospital then he had another (THIRD) job that day and would have to get another worker since the one with him had a box cutter wound. Never mentioned an additional hour and we were not quite done yet. Abby (from hired helper) left me two messages they wanted closed out payment plus additional hour paid. I called Abby we argued because I got a receipt showing two additional hours an additional $270 was on the bill. Abby said was prepaid and would only charge one additional hour but give me a $50 credit off that additional $135. As a claim on damage! I have not seen that $50 credit and called my credit card to dispute that part. I did say yes to 1 hour at just $135 added to original quote/bill but with a $50 credit because I did not tip them but work they did do was satisfactory. Just credit the $50. What a hard day that was I was in extreme pain since I need surgery and had over did it. But moving needed to get done. Moving is hard. They should have called back to discuss problem or explained about adding an hour on while they were still there working. You tell the customer ahead of time is how to do business.

Roger and crew were up front with us about everything, they were on time and did a great job. It quickly became apparent that we would have to use much more than two men for two hours as advertised, and I ended up paying well over twice the amount (over $600; $400 of that was requested in cash) that Hire a Helper advertised for a 3 bedroom house. Bottom line: crew was exceptional; company seems to misrepresents prices. Great job, great service, though I feel a bit jerked around financially.
