Service was great . But the manager of the company conned me into paying a $200 dollar extra bill for the movers showing up earlier then the time i requested . The prepaid balance was not the same Balance . However the actual movers were amazing. Very humble people

Was supposed to have four guys for four hours. Two showed up at the appointed time while the other two showed up two hours late. Because I had eight total hours, the two on time I was going to let go after their four hours were up and the the two who showed up two hours late I would use them for their four hours, dismissing them two hours after the first two’s time had elapsed. Upon notifying the owner, he stated that all four would stay until later that afternoon. What he did not say and what we did not agree upon was the rate of pay for the additional hours. I assumed there would not be an additional charge seeing half of his laborers were two hours late, throwing off the entire job. What he did after the job was complete was attempt to charge me nearly double the rate. Now, had that been agreed upon, no problem; but it was never mentioned until he sent me a bill. I have a real problem with this. Normally, charges are discussed prior to billing, not upon billing, and he told me they would stay until such and such a time, which led me to believe that since he was initiating the extended time, it was covered already. No additional cost was mentioned at that time. I felt like he was trying to be slick and refused the additional charges, as he had unilaterally decreed his workers would stay longer. That is on him. After I paid the agreed upon bill, he sent me a series of very demanding texts. After I explained it to him, he persisted. I told him not to text me anymore and that I had paid what we had agreed upon, not that which he decreed. I then called Hire-A-Helper and explained the situation to them. After hearing me out and agreeing with me that a contractor cannot unilaterally change the terms of the agreement and then make a post-facto demand for payment, they told me he would not be contacting me anymore. It is regrettable that people entrusted to deal honestly and with integrity would resort to such measures.

On time, customer service oriented, sense of humor, and hard working team of professionals. Could not ask for better, especially on such short notice.

Wayne and his crew one (Chad and James) did a GREAT job moving all of our stuff from two 28 foot trailers into the house and garage. Great customer service very helpful and proficient. they even made moving the heavy items look easy.
