The team showed up on time, they were respectful and busy for the whole time. They moved my gear into the truck with great care and I can confirm that as I unpacked them at my final destination. I was surprised that they came with no equipment that would help them with the loading (e.g. hank-trucks or dollies). My biggest issue is that they did not follow what I asked them to do, or at least they underestimated what that would take. I asked them to make sure they loaded all the heavy stuff, items that I could not carry. This mainly consisted of beds, bookcases, sofas, etc. There were a lot of other boxes that they could pack around these items. Not all the heavy stuff was loaded (this was a 26' Penske truck) so I now have to rent another large truck and service provide to complete the move. The plan was for me to pack a smaller truck myself. At the other end, in Austin, I now have plenty of bed clothes and books but not all the beds or bookcases! it is perhaps unfortunate but I have to compare them to the provider that I used in Austin just a few days later. They too came through Hire-a-Helper. This team showed up with the appropriate equipment and followed everything I asked.

I was worried about whether someone would show up. In an email it said that if I had not heard from Rayshon, I should call him. There were 2 numbers listed. I called the first number at 1:08 pm and left a message. When I had not heard back I called the second number at 4:47 and left a message. Neither was replied to so at 9:00 I called Hire a Helper but also had to leave a message. When Rayshon showed up at 8 he said he never got my messages. The other guy showed up in the next few minutes. After the POD was emptied, Rayshon left to start the next job. The other guy stayed around to put my bed frame together and move some furniture around. Since I was paying for a minimum of 2 hours I thought they should have taken more furniture blankets and protective civering off of some of the other furniture. Not sure I’d hire from here again. I was a bit disappointed.

Darius and Jay arrived on time, they worked together and had a solid plan. The finished within the 4 hour window. The knew exactly how to load the truck. I highly recommend this company and these two gentlemen. (and I am hard to please) They offered suggestions and asked questions to be sure we were pleased. 10+ job

The 2 gentlemen they sent were fine. They were on time, worked fast and were respectful of my belongings, while unpacking the moving container. I am confused as to why they did not have a hand truck or at least lifting straps.
