The guys that helped us load our PODS for our move from Travelers Rest were outstanding. They had great experience on how to pack the POD most efficiently and safely. These guys were quick, hard working and experienced. I’d use them again in a heartbeat. A really really good team. Highly recommended.

Movers | Onward Moving Service LLC

Guess I share some the lower rating in that I didn't consider how much longer it would take to navigate the 3rd floor stairs where we live. Also they had to walk from the unit 60-70 feet to the truck. Instead of 2-3 hrs. it was 5+. Also I should have asked them to not be so careful packing. Would give 5 stars for that! Takes a lot of time and we only had 40 miles to go, and 1/4 of the truck was empty when they finished. Next time I will know to just get the stuff down to the ground and I will put in in the truck if it takes more than 2 hours. I know that everyone can not do this. I must say they did the job they were hired to do!

The guys were great and Landon really knew what he was doing. However, we were told that they would have the tools needed to disassemble furniture. As a company you should provide the needed tools. But they did a fantastic job.

— Chuck M.

The guys were early at the location , brought equipment, belts, a dolly, and were organized. They worked fast and were hardworking. The only criticism I have is that they cracked the front door threshold, and left dents and markings on the walls at top of the stairs.

Movers | C and C Moving

Were they on time? No, they arrived about 15-20 mins late but I did get a call informing me of the delay. Not a big deal but certainly not ideal. Were they prepared for the job? No, I was told by the lead mover that he was not informed by his dispatch that we expected them to complete the job in one visit Did they work hard? After two hours, they managed to unload about half of a 16 foot container. The goal was to unload the whole container into a storage unit. I expected and accepted that it might take three, but I had to pitch in and help unload the container to keep things moving along, which I did not expect to have to do that since I hired two professional movers to handle it. After two hours, one of the movers left which left me and the lead mover to finish the rest. Although willing to stay a little longer, the lead mover also had to leave before we finished unloading due to a personal commitment and expressed a preference to come back by 7:15 A.M. the next day to finish. The problem was Pack Rat could return as early as 8:00 AM to retrieve the container, sot it had to be unloaded on this day. Leaving it until the next day was too risky. This option also required me to be one of the movers which is what I was trying to avoid. Were they respectful of your property and goods? Yes, they were respectful of my property. No issue there. They moved the smaller items from the container under an awning by the entrance to ensure that things would not get caught outside in the rain. Clouds were rolling in and looked a bit dark. I did appreciate this effort. Would you use them again? No, I would not use them again. I used Hire A Helper on the front-end of the move in CA. The movers there were excellent, wore uniforms, very efficient, didn't chat on their cell phones, didn't smoke, and loaded this same container in two and half hours--without my help. There are always two sides of the story, and I am sure the movers have their reasons on why the job didn't get done to our expectations. And there is more to my side of the story than I have time write. Ultimately, my wife and I (both 62 years old) unloaded the rest of the container and packed the storage unit well enough to bring more boxes in from home. The bottom-line is, we were disappointed and expected a higher level of professionalism since this company was highly recommended by Hire A Helper.
