Full-service movers will typically do basic furniture disassembly and protect your larger items when they move them into the truck, but won’t pack your items in boxes unless you choose “packing” as an additional service you would like to add to your move.

All movers (aka "Moving Service Providers") that offer full-service moving on the MovingPlace platform are fully licensed for full-service moves and carry commercial liability coverage. Every MovingPlace order also includes our Standard Repair Coverage, which protects your items at $0.60 per pound, up to $10,000.Additionally, you can purchase an optional coverage called “SmartProtection®”, which protects your items from accidental damage during loading or unloading, with three different tiers of coverage available.

When will I be charged?

The charge is only completed once your move is finished.Your card will be authorized (not charged) for the full amount 48 hours before your move. That means the payment is pending but hasn’t gone through yet. If you’re booking a last-minute move (like one scheduled for tomorrow), your card will be authorized right after booking.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel at no charge up to 48 hours before your job start time. If you cancel after that within 24 hours of your move, your Moving Service Provider will charge for 2 hours at the rate you booked. Canceling within 1 hour before the job will result in your Moving Service Provider charging you the full price of the move

After the loading, we still had a while on the 2 hour window, but instead of leaving early, they asked if we needed anything else. I did. I had two big armchairs with ottomans that were moving to another room, as soon as I figured out how to levitate them. No problem, even though I hadn't included them in any video or list. I hired 2 movers, They were to show up between 9 & 10 am. they called and said they were on their way and would arrive at 9:45. They showed up at 10:50. Due to time restraints, Myself, wife and Siblings had to help unload our PODS. It had to be empty because PODS was picking it up at 11:30. They were right on time! if we did not do the work, it would not have been empty in time. The workers did work hard while they were here. They were very respectful, they helped put our furniture together, after all, we did pay for 2 hours. This may have been an isolated incident.
