They were very fast and professional, showed up on time, quickly loaded everything, made it to the new destination quickly, and quickly got everything inside. Nothing damaged, would reccommend.

The guys worked so hard and really did well over all. However, our wood floors got scratched in several places due to one dresser losing a foot and I guess had a nail sticking out the bottom. I don't blame them though. The job really required more helpers. And they were exhausted toward the end when the scratches happened. They should have had more help for the job. I paid for the insurance and I am glad I did. I filed a claim and Hire a helper is being very responsive so far. I used to do moving for a living and it is a tough job! I was grateful for their help. Also grateful they are willing to make it right on the floor.

The guys were on time, efficient, helpful & very pleasant. Great care was taken with some special pieces which put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend them & your company!!

Tavon and team were highly synchronized and efficient. From pair lifts to packing the truck, their experience working consistently with each other really made them effective. We had several heavy objects coming out of a basement and several others going into our new n basement and they handled each of the new challenges with care and strength. We appreciated the positive and respectful attitudes. Even a little bit funny. Thanks gents, we appreciate you getting our family settled in our new home.

I want to preface my review by saying I am giving 3 stars because the issue I had with my movers was resolved thanks to the boss, John, and with the help of HireAHelper customer support. I completed most of my move myself but hired DMV Discount Moving and Cleaning for a few large/heavy items. They were scheduled to arrive between 12–1 and showed up at 12:50. They started loading quickly, which I appreciated since it was hourly, but no one introduced themselves, which felt odd. One mover (the younger one) was polite and friendly; the older one was cold and impatient. The older mover said not everything would fit in my 10' U-Haul, even though all items were listed in my inventory (couch, 3 dressers, reptile cages, TV stand, display cabinet). I told them the TV stand could be left if needed, yet they loaded it and left the glass display cabinet behind. I asked about a second trip (just 10 minutes away) but was told they didn’t have time. The move finished around 2:15, and I paid for the two-hour minimum despite only getting ~1hr 15min of service due to their late arrival. I asked again about retrieving the display cabinet. They called their boss, who said he'd follow up, but the movers left without updating me. I had to call Hire A Helper, and eventually, the older mover returned at 6:20 to finish. I had to extend my U-Haul rental and delay the rest of my move due to the confusion and poor communication. Overall, the job was completed after a lot of back and forth. Nothing was broken and it was done quickly. Hire A Helper and DMV Discount Moving and Cleaning’s manager/boss were very helpful. I am sure that other movers, like the younger man who came yesterday, would lead to a better experience. Thanks again to John for helping me out and sorting the problem professionally :)

Unfortunately, only 1 person (of the 2 supposed to show up) arrived. He was on time and a hard worker and completed the job within the 2 hours allotted. However, while he handled the job moderately well and was a delight to work with, he carried furniture that should have been carried by 2 (such as a large sofa that had a piece of wood break off when he plopped it onto the dolly) and dropped a few boxes marked “Fragile”. Since everything is in storage for about 3 months I won’t know the extent of the damage until it comes out of storage, and (of course) I don’t know if any damages wouldn’t have happened had the 2nd person shown, but while I would definitely hire the person who actually showed up, I would not use this company again because I would be concerned with their dependability.

Awesome work ethic, they arrived on time and was so precise that they provided room for me to add a piece of furniture that my daughter wanted. Highly recommend this seruand of course the crew assigned to my move.

The movers were respectful of me, my home and my property. Introducing themselves and getting right to work. They were quick and efficient. It only took them an hour from the time that they arrived and when they finished. I only remember the lead guys name, Charles. But I appreciate the care that they all took in getting my household goods into my apartment. Thank you! ??

It's a terrible time of year to have to move enough to fill a 16ft truck. In the July Maryland heat...worst possible conditions, but we had no choice. We had 2 hardworking movers who helped us load an entire apartment full of furniture and even dump a few big pieces. They did a stellar job and were very fast and professional. Highly recommend!
