Erick and David, are the two polite, thoughtful, and strong young men sent by Hire A Helper to assist with my art studio move. David and Eric treated every object, box, and weird flat-pack with care. The walls…not so much. LOL Hire-a-Helper’s website suggests prepaying for an extra hour of time per staircase. Given that I had two flights of stairs, I pre-paid for double the recommended time (4 hours instead of 2), so that extra time could be allotted for care and to avoid over-exertion. H-a-H must know what they are talking about, as this allowed poor David and Erick to take several rest breaks, including hanging out in the backyard for fresh air, lounging against the PODS contained in the driveway (they asked my permission before taking this specific rest break, which was right after their backyard break, and I told them that only they know what their bodies need, and to do what they need). We had a bit of heat that day, though, so when the movers needed another break a bit later, they chose to just hang out inside, chilling in the (empty, but air-conditioned/cool) house. Unfortunately, finishing the job and moving the last of the art studio contents from the 3rd to the 1st floor (to be moved by us to our vehicles for safekeeping), necessitated the purchase of an extra hour of each of the young men’s time. I would deduct 1/2 star for the booking company not alerting me to how many breaks their movers need, and that I might need to have extra cash or a Zelle or a checkbook available to pay the movers directly. Thankfully, I was able to use Zelle to pay David directly for the extra hour of both their time, which meant the cash I withdrew for a tip could still be used to that end. Thanks, David, and Erick! You guys are a great team and give me faith in the next generation’s honest work ethic. I’m sure you make your families proud. As a homeless teen, I worked my arse off to be where I am now, and I’m sure your dedication to honorable hard work means you will also have commensurate success in life!

Anthony and Ricky did an amazing job. They provided great communication reaching out to confirm the day before and the morning of they texted to let me know exactly when they would be arriving. They were nice and worked very effectively. I highly recommend them!

Anthony and team were awesome! They were on time and super efficient. Asked good questions to make sure they understand what we wanted to have done. Were very mindful and careful of walls and door frames especially in the stairwell when moving a very large two piece sectional and a heavy wooden coffee table that were being stored in the basement during a renovation. Would definitely highly recommend!

Anthony and Jay from A Plus Movers were awesome. They were right on time and handled our move wonderfully which included moving heavy and bulky pieces to different floors and negotiating tricky stairs. They were also kind, courteous and very respectful of our house. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommend!

In the words of our client: Candidly, I don't think the CT team was employed by the Long Haul Driver. I think they were temporary staffing and they were extremely inexperienced. They showed up three hours late and left promptly at 5pm. Although they did get all of our belongings into the home, they left company driver to assemble and place all of the furniture. I thought that was ridiculous. Long Haul Driver to had to perform a lot of extra labor and I did my best to help him get everything finished. Overall, HAH needs to improve the quality of the local team. They need more experienced people. Having said that, miraculously none of our furniture was damaged. The team struggled but did get everything moved in without damage. Overall, the loading team performed at a really high level. Long Haul Driver was outstanding. The HaH crew left much to be desired.

Metro Movers did a great job for my local move. They communicated ahead of time to make sure my move would go smoothly and on the day of, they arrived on time, conducted themselves very professionally, and went above and beyond. I really appreciate them for making my move easier and stress-free.
